PSP version is what you want I think.
Opinions are my own.

I'm afraid not, because the PSP edition doesn't have the PA Announcer mentioning the rookies either.

The Speech Files II is now available, with the 2006 NBA Draft.

You will find every player from that class except Vladimir Veremeenko, Cheikh Samb and Yotam Halperin. That's 57 players.

Here's the link:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?hijwzy4yaga

Up next, could be one of these:

a) Rest of NBA Live 08 missing players.
b) Corrected pronunciation (for players like Diop, Gadzuric or Ryan Gomes).
c) Classes of 2004 and 2005 revisited (basically, adds the really excited speech for some of those players).
d) International Stars (Argentina, Germany, Italy, France, etc).

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the latest. :) My suggestion for the next batch would probably be a, the rest of the NBA Live 08 missing players.

I've been checking out NBA Live 07, which I didn't before, and Vladimir Veremeenko and Cheick Samb are there. I'll update the Speech Files II, or release them with the following batch.

As a preview, these are some of the players you will find in the Speech Files III - Missing Players (Present):

Anthony Parker, Jermaine Jackson, Sasha Vujacic, Erik Daniels, Jackie Butler, Esteban Batista, Kevin Burleson, Josh Powell, Aaron Miles, James Singleton, Boniface Ndong, Earl Barron, Ronnie Price, Andre Owens, Sharrod Ford, Shavlik Randolph, Deng Gai, Mark Jones, Arthur Johnson, Chuck Hayes, Melvin Sanders, Noel Felix, Stephen Graham, Anthony Grundy, Ime Udoka, Luke Schenscher, Allan Ray, Yakhouba Diawara, Louis Amundson.

Regarding Vujacic, I actually don't remember if his speech file is in the game, but his SpeechID crashes Audy06. So, I decided to add him anyway.

The Speech Files III has been released.

It contains every missing player from NBA Live 06 that was given a SpeechID for Live 07 or 08. Plus Vladimir Veremeenko and Cheikh Samb, two 2006 draftees that update the Speech Files II. There's a total of 41 players included.

Up next, more missing players (e.g. Jamario Moon, Rob Kurz) and 2008/09 training camp.

Hi Andrew, for those who do not know how to use Audy06 to do the editing, will you be including the updated arena speech file in your next roster patch?

The announcer still says Seattle Supersonic when you select Oklahoma Thunder.

I never tested it, but I think Audy06 cannot handle modifications to the teams speech. Maybe it can, though, by just replacing the Sonics lines with the Thunder ones. Or perhaps the ASF Importer/exporter? I'll give it a try and see if it works. The Oklahoma speech is present in the PS2 version of NBA Live 09, so I got it.

The Speech Files IV is now available.

It contains 52 players. Basically, almost every missing player from the last two seasons that didn't have a SpeechID in Live 07 or 08. This includes training camp invitees, undrafted rookies and 10-day contract guys.

Take into account that these players were created from other SpeechIDs, so don't expect their quality to be as good as the first three Speech Files.

Here's the link:

I think I'll focus my attention in the 2008 NBA Draft now. Expect 30 or 35 rookies, as the sounds from NBA Live 10 cannot be exported.

Apparently, NBA Live doesn't work with .ASF files anymore. At least, the NBA Live 09 and 10 Xbox versions. The ASF Viewer can't find a single audio file. I reckon we're facing a double problem here: first, we need a software to open those .fcd files in order to get whatever is in there. And then, we need to figure out how to decode the audio files from their original form to .wav, .mp3 or any readable stuff (that is, assuming the files cannot be read from the get-go, which is very frequent in console gaming). I'd say this is a lost cause, for now.

I'm clueless about PS3. I've never actually tried to extract anything out of a PS3 game, so I don't know how they work. If anyone can test if the PS3 files can be opened with the ASF Viewer, I'd appreciate it. I'm positive it's not going to work, but it's worth the try.

No, the Speech Files work only in NBA Live 06. There is no software available that can import sounds into NBA Live 2004.

New release: the Speech Files V. With 43 rookies from the 2008 NBA Draft. I've excluded Patrick Ewing as you can always use his father's SpeechID.

Here's the link:

Almost every important draftee is there. Some of them sound good (Beasley, Rose), some of them sound mediocre (Mayo), and some of them are quite bad (Westbrook), but there's so much I can do about it. At least, in-game, it's passable thanks to the arena reverb. I'm particularly pleased with some guys I'd never thought I could create, like Mbah a Moute.

Up next, I'm going to update my 2009 NBA Draft speech file I've released before. Don't expect a whole revamp, but maybe some corrections and improvements. And luckily, an extra player or two.

You can count on that. I'm planning to add legends from NBA Live 2001 up to 2005. Also, players like Mikan, Dave DeBusschere or Ed Macauley, that were added on Live 07. And then, some others that weren't featured in the Live series at all.

As of now, current rosters are my priority. But once I'm done with them, Legends will be included in the next Speech Files.
