Postby yukon2k on Tue Jan 06, 2009 3:36 am

i've been trying to use the nba live editor 2006 but keep getting an error message ( 1m001 microsoft odbc driver manager - driver does not support this function ). i've got the .netframework and visual c++ downloaded, but can't get the editor to work. i get this error message when i click the 'load rosters' button, click on my documents, nba live 2006, saves, and click my saved ncaa roster. i can't get any response from the author

I seem to remember other people had similar problems when it was first released. I vaguely remember something about having to download a BDE update, which you can get here.

thanks andrew. i downloaded the link ( it's in german, so i don't know what the hell i installed). it didn't work and i couldn't find where it installed on my computer. after reading the 'readme' of the editor, i noticed something i didn't notice before - it said i needed the visual fox pro odbc driver and gave the download link. i downloaded and installed this and the editor works fine now. for future references, in case somebody else has problems or doesn't read the 'readme' file completely, the link is: downloads.gamingaccess.com/index.php?file_id=4964

Sorry to bump an old post, but what exactly is the editor good for. I got it to work, and load rosters into it, but the only thing updated in the game (after several edits, and saves) is the player photo I added.

Names, and ratings were not updated. Not sure what I did wrong though.

All of its functions should work as intended.

Well, now that I am messing with DB commander, it may not be needed anyway... However, i changed a few things as a test with one player, and it said it was updated. Once I went back in, it wasn't. Then again, now that I am getting a feel for this game, i think i know what i may have been doing wrong.

I must admit I use DB Commander almost exclusively when it comes to working with the rosters. The Toolkits were great back in the day and these editors are quality utilities as well but I've just grown used to fooling around in the databases directly.
