Coach Mode

Postby theplaymaker3188 on Wed Jun 15, 2005 6:49 am

I coach basketball and something i would really like to see in Live 06 would be some type of coaching mode where u could be a certain coach like Larry Brown or Phil Jackson etc. etc. and you would be rewarded basked on performance and you could be fired as well or be sought after by other teams. I think that would be pretty cool.

LEAVE SOME COMMENTS ON THIS PLZ LET ME KNOW WHAT U PPL THINK!!!

i think the role you play in LIVE 2005 is similar to a coaching role. During games, you decide what plays to run, you control the subs, and pretty much everything a coach would do. If your team does well, you get "rewareded" a new pda(very much useless, but a reward nonetheless). So to me, the role you play in LIVE 2005 is GM/coach.

While this is true...you are more of a GM though
I think a coach mode would be awesome but i think it would quickly become boring.
A single player story mode kinda thing would be good, but better than the NBA '06 game one.

A fully-fledged Coach Mode might not be feasible just yet, but I think the ability to simply watch the games and call plays by pressing keys/buttons (you could actually do this back in NBA Live 96 for the PC), make substitutions and so forth could be achieved without creating a brand new mode. For me at least, that would be fine substitute for a complete coaching mode; I prefer to play the games but I'm sure I'd make some use of such a feature from time to time.

i just think this would be a nice addition to the game. . . it would give u a chance to see how to run things and get the hang of how plays should be properly ran. . . also another thing that i would like to see added to the game is the ability to create your own plays

i tihnk that live 2005 is more of a GM game.. in order to add to the coaching aspect, you should be able to plan your plays before the game and more plays should be able to be called in the game (a la March MAdness)

I'm not sure they would sell very many copies of that for some reason... cos most of the people that an NBA Manager game would attract are all here on this forum.
