I updated some lightings of Jimmy, Since lightings often look different from 08. SOmetimes better sometimes madder. I´ll post some screenies in a while when I m at home

I have a question for Jaosmoing or any other guy who is into the editting of the AIACT and animations.

Does anyone have an idea how to increase the Blocking of the Jumpshots? Whats the code for it?

I have managed to get the players to swat hard at the ball instead of contesting it and increasing the chance of a blocked shot, but the block has to be precise in order for it to work.

Where is the code that determines the blocking of the jumpshots and how do i increase the ammount of times it happens?

the lighting have now looks decent, but it isnt as good as the lighting i had for the live 08 update. I think iit was the xbox 360 lighting or something. it would be great if we had it for live 06 too.

hmmm for the blocks to be precise i think it is really hard bro cuz you need to alter the animations for it..

but the thing i do to edit the blocks is i go to the aiact and export the file block.act and edit it

i already did this. I have guys swatting the ball instead of just contesting it.........but still no reall bocking on the jumpshots unless its a smaller guy taking a jumper. jumshot blocking does occur the problem is it doesnt happen often and when it does it does not appear in the boxscore

So, now I'm being picky, but is there then a way to just add that shot blocking thing you have in the video and that's it? Because it really is amazing.

Not much use bumping a stickied thread. However, this is certainly something we can take another look at given yesterday's announcement.

so far with the AIACT i edited from this thread and the faces and artwork the game has been great.

I'm new to this forum, I myself love this project and will support it with whoever is in this pack. I already started to convert alot of 07, 08 stuff to 06 a while back ago to see if it works. So far I got some to work, some....nah. I tried to make this project alive and kicking. Good work to all the peeps who laid their hands on the patches. NBA LIVE 06 Lives ON!

one thing nobody really mention here are the crowd for the arenas. I did alot of converting and testing putting the stadia and crowd file from 07, 08 to 06. So far, the 08 works really good. But there are glitches on the crowd such as chicago, cleveland, lakers, clippers. The crowd in the bulls arena seems really dark. Cleveland has a green crowd, and both L.A. crowd are plain black shadows. Does anyone know how to fix this glitch? So for now I'm converting either Lagoa's or Looser courth patch from 08 and 07 files. Some courts patches do have glitches (pink lighting everywhere). But I manage to find the right formula to make it disappear...

another thing I'm doing with this project is changing the music of this game to make it feel fresh. Now I know everybody has their own taste of music, but my version has "real" basketball music from the past or present. I've watched and listened alot of music lately that talks only about basketball or anything the relates to it in any genres. For Example: Hit Em High by LL Cool J, Method Man, Coolio, etc... that song is all about basketball (From Space Jam Movie). Classic song such as: Don't sweat the technnique by Erik B. and Rakim. NBA used to jam to this song in the 90's with their highlight reel. And so on.... this will probably be one of my first release..or maybe not. I'm also reeling to putting all the stuff I've done already with this project in one file and see if peeps like you, like me ..like it. Basketball Forever Baby!

Well, I'm going to be releasing what I did on this beta patch really soon. It's a BIG file compare to the original one and currently still has some bugs and stuff. I'm thinking of releasing it with filefront (though not many peeps like these downloader). I'll be giving more details once release. Other than that, does anybody else doing anything with this project?

I'm still interested in making time to work on the rosters. It's been a bit difficult doing anything with them since I'm still updating NBA Live 08 and NBA Live 07 but I'm still hoping to make time to contribute to the efforts.
