[3.10.06] Jersey Trouble | Five More Portraits Released /

Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

Postby Unrestrict3D on Sat Feb 18, 2006 4:04 pm

Since I've had the time to waste I decided to try and add a little bit extra and I took c0nr4d's advice about the numbers and made them white to match the logo. Does this look better?

If you can't figure it out you can send me the numbers .png's and the original xxx_num.fsh you want them imported in and I'll help you out.

If anyone thinks they can figure it out, here's the .zip containing the utahaway_num.fsh, the original .bmp files and the new number .png files. Click here.

I wrote a tutorial to make custom numbers using Fshline, it's in the Patching Issues forum. It's really simple, you shouldn't have trouble with it at all

The only things keeping the jersey from being released are that I need to make a portrait file for the jersey, do some .dbf editing, file renaming, etc. because right now I have it saved as the utahaway.fsh but I need to save it as something else. What though? I'm not sure if it matters what I name it but utahserd.fsh isn't available to use because c0nr4d's alternate is already in my game. What do I do?

Thanks cklitsie for helping me out with the numbers.

You can use 'ser_' and put a number from 1-9 in the blank. I used 9 and 8 for my fictionals, so maybe use something from 1-7?

Alright, thanks for the help. I still need to download your jerseys. :o

Carlos Boozer, Andre Owens, and Robert Whaley portraits now available. Check the first post for the download.

I will release Deron Williams later as I will have to redo the portrait file because I saved over it.

You can in fact use any possible combination of 4 letters/numbers for the jerseys. So that's about 1296 a team, I don't think that many jersey patches are out there.

I'm trying to figure out where the jersey portrait files are located but I'm not exactly sure which file I should be looking for. Is there maybe a tutorial out there that'll explain how to work the jersey portaits? Thanks.

It's not in the sgsm, you should look the fe folder, .../fe/jerseys.viv.
From there, extract a file of a jersey with the right number placement for your created jersey, because with these jersey portraits you can't change that. Once you extract a .fsh from that jerseys.viv and open it in FshX, you'll immediately see what's up..

Make sure the portrait file you extract is the same as the .viv you used for the jersey, otherwise it may crash.

I don't think so. I just extracted one of EA's portraits and saved it, then after I make my portrait I copy EA's on top and stretch mine so it's roughly the same size. Then I Ctrl-click EA's portrait layer, and reverse the selection, then delete that selection from my portrait, given it the same edges as EA's. Make sense?

Another quick question: I'm reading through this jersey preview tutorial and it has be scratching my head. Am I also going to have to do some additional hex editing?

Yup, you need to hex edit the .ebo file.

Ahh yeah, okay, I was making it seem like a big deal but now that I've found out what to edit it's pretty easy.
