I thought so because at the end of the video it only said NBA 2k6!

After seeing that video though, I must say 2k6 is looking pretty good this year. I hope EA realizes this and goes all out this year.

NBA Live 06 will not look like that. It's one of those videos where its more like a movie than the actual video game. Like I remember when those first screen shots came out for Live 05 and it looked real smooth, but that wasn't the actual game which is why I'm not that excited by it. Now if the actual game looked like the movie then yea everyone should be excited. :lol:

^it's for xbox360 so it's possible that it'll look like that. the current systems' version would be a different case though

I agree with Mafia. Take a lesson from last year and don't get too hyped up about anything. Once they start explaining the new features of 06 don't get too excited, it will be easier to appreciate it that way.

Edit: well after seeing that video I'm willing to bet it's all simply motion captured. Anybody remember some live 04 videos? Some parts of it were simply the motion captured dynasty mode features.

NBA 06 is the old ESPN NBA 2k5... As EA bought the rights to use ESPN so they can't use it anymore...

Live looks a lot better than the sega version does at the moment...

Not true ..

There are 3 games .. NBA Live 2006, NBA 2k6 (Old espn) and NBA 06
And EA will not be able to use the espn license for any of the 2006 games!

NBA Live 06 = EA Sports
NBA 2K6 = 2K Sports - formerly the ESPN series
NBA 06 = Sony/989 - so far has the worst graphics of the 3. has a new story mode type of thing.

Although, only Live will be available for PC I think

Ha! Does anyone remember the preview clips of one of the previous NBA lives? I think it was NBA live 2001, when it first got onto the PS2. Kevin garnett was playing Tim duncan in a preview clip. Are any of the nba lives from 01-05 were as close to that? no i believe. it's all pre-rendered, not ingame.

So I hope that the Live 06 E3 preview is close enough to the final product =)

Well the IGN article said that they had a copy of the game, and that it looked awesome. So it beeing from actuall gameplay isn't that unlikely actually...

In case someones' intrested, I saw a jersey moving. It sort of hanged behind the player when he was running, and when he stopped, the jersey fell right next to his back. (y)

OK found the Live 01 preview pictures. My memory must be failing me. They aren't that good as i recall them to be. But at that time(2000) those graphics were WHOA!

When I talk about graphics, I refer to at least the player models. All along Live has been outdoing themselves each year in that department. The 3d looks better, but it still has a cartoony shading, lighting to it. Look at live 01. Look at the sheen off Kevin garnett. Lighting.. it's all about lighting! And textures
