NBA Live PC --- First post Updated 1/5

Oh man, now I totally regret uninstalling LIVE 06.

Not that I didn't regret it when I replaced it with 08.

now i will now have a hard time looking for my cd again hehehe

I hope you'll consider my two cents as well.

1) Old all-stars' go-to moves and more realistic gameplay- Sky hook, Lazy boy, etc.
2) Have a street AI, but no behind-the-back passes when inbounding
3) Ability to select default keyboard and controller
4) Ability to make own free throw moves for new players

It's really great you're doing this. I'm looking forward to it.

I have a request, can you please release your updated roster first with your sgsm before you release any of your other patches? and is it smart to have a fresh install of Live 06 so no other patches get in the way of yours?

One big issue with live 06 was the easy excessive dunking that was possible and that under the rim reverse lay-up that was almost unstoppable.

the blocks from live 2005 under the rim were the best in my opinion, cause you couldn't just go stand there and dunk it on bigmen.

it would be nice if you put in some more block animations if possible.

Hope that patch would change the gameplay when playing DIRECT IP.

I have just played Live 2005. I really like some of the tip-in/alley-oop dunks.

I really want this mod!!! This is a revolution patch of NBA live 06!

That file contains andrews converted 08 roster, SUM faces, shoes and tattoos, c0nr4d jerseys (not ATL, TORO,or MILW) and the very very BETA aiact. It aint final and it aint pretty.

These are the FSSmoves that are changed in the file.

Outside scorer
Trigger + Shoot = jump back jumper
Trigger + Rebound = Turnaround/step back jumper

Inside Scorer:
Trigger + shoot = Turnaround/Step Back Jumper
Trigger + pass = Power Dribble then 1 hand hook or 2 handed shot (not cheap like the hook shot)

Shooter:
Trigger +shoot = step back jumper as seen in the quick teaser video.



These are just basic edits and there is no patch included to improve overall gameplay yet. Thankfully the default 06 AI isnt too too horrible. There are no instructions included so you guys are on your own with installing it. This is just a little something something till i get back home after the holidays. For court updates just download lagoa's or looser's 07/08 updates.

The game thinks it's a normal pump fake, so you can do it again, you can legally travel all the time lol

the pathc is nice, but all this time i thought you were making a patch without the FSS moves by trigger. I thought it would be a patch were they did the moves themselves and that you added new moves to the game via MM series and other lives.

i went to practice and ricky davis had 3 dunks he could do. under the rim with 2 legs and 2 hands and 2 gliding dunks and the usual one handed one leg dunk. Is there a way to put dunks from live 2003, 2004 and 2005 in there also? 2003 had some great dunks. 2004 and 2005 had great variety. The FSS made live 06 lose variety, cause the FSS dunks were used more ofcourse.

you should do it like the Live 2005 patch where you used some nice dunks and moves from March madness and keep the variety in the packages.

the superstar trigger doesn;t do it for me personally. you can still overuse it.

the reason i'm mentioning this is cause this patch will make online league play way better.

Shaft23, I haven't had a lot of free time to really work on this. Like I said it was a very BETA patch out and I released it just because I said I would. My current plan is to finish up with rearranging the current FSS with the 06 animations and then move on to making a completely FSS free AIACT with March Madness 07 animations (little more realistic)


Reimu, I dont know, I converted over the 08 teamgear and got crashes so I just used 06's for the time being, just deal with it I guess for now.


Buzzy, yea that is a pretty big issue with this system. I should be able to iron it out though. BTW, if you stop your dribble then try it the game shouldn't let you move even though you should be. Like for instance your player will do a jump back animation where he should pop back ~3 feet...but instead he should stand still.



Anyway, glad to see no major issues as of yet. Here is a players.dbf that has no FSS abilities enabled for all players as a temp fix for no FSS.

PS the Ball that was included is credits to UltraNIX, I need to run it by him that it was a mistake that it got included, if there is an issue and the download goes down, dont worry, Ill just be reupping without that patch. Also I think a couple of backboard patches may have snuck through my filters as well.


When I get home to the "base" computer I'll make that checklist of stuff that should be patched before a v1.
