Free agents disappear...

Postby tomy_crack on Fri Apr 14, 2006 6:36 am

I can't understand why the free agents disappear when I start a new franchise.

Those free agents who were going to be able to be signed by me (those who ask for the minimum salary) are no longer in the list of free agents during the season. Those like Spree or players who ask for a higher salary appear but not the "cheap ones"...

I can't understand that...

Why?????

Is it possible to add them somehow?

The game prunes the Free Agent pool automatically when you start a new Dynasty, there's nothing that can be done to stop it short of increasing the ratings of the cheaper players.

yeah, they seem to disappear sometimes. After my year 1, Tierre Brown was knocked out. I was gonna sign him too, but alas! No cash.

It will always happen with the lowest rated players to keep the free agent pool small (I assume). Unfortunately it means cheap players disappear and can't be signed to fill in when there's injuries or to add a bit of depth after a trade. As I said before, the only way to prevent it is to edit the player's ratings before you start a Dynasty (but then of course they usually raise their price).

The mid-level exception would actually be more helpful, though 10 day contracts would be a nice feature to have as well.
