€uro Rating Machine 1.0 RELEASED !!

Postby CERVANTES on Sat Jan 21, 2006 2:56 am

Well, I modified the formulas and the default graphics and I made this rating machine specially for european players. As it's the first version, I need your help to do it even better.

Why would it be more useful?

And cervantes why does it have 2PM/A, can't you just make it do the calculation itself.

I based on acb.com stats page, and I noticed sometimes that 2pm and 2pa are the stats used in Euroleague and other european leagues. That's why.

Yet most of the patching done for the game before that draft class, is of european players and australian players, aswell as updates of nba players, only a small percentage of patched players is taken up by the up coming draft class.

An NCAA version would also allow more accurate rating of current rookies who haven't seen much NBA action. We could use their NCAA totals to do their ratings.

Yes, It's a great idea , but there is a problem :

The rating machine actually calculates the players in their leagues, so I think you will get angry if you get a FG 75 3P 82 rookie with 80 in blocks, because he's a star in his league, so he puts big numbers.

But I think there could be a mathematical solution:

I will try to reduce a unique percentage from each rating to make them like default rookies.

I will work on this.

thats what i was thinking. Just reduce the ratings. The NCAA is pretty competitive so it shouldn't make much of a difference
