you wont even need defence, just 5 guys all with 90+ rebounding lol
if the ball goes in (ever) good luck to you then

lol tru, i got my sliders at 40 and dat makes me go out there to guard the Kobes,Ray's,Peja's and Tmacs in the league...also i find dat if i dont get a hand up in their shots, they make a lot, i like to be challenged on D  ....3point shooting teams like Sonics,Suns, etc all shoot a respectable % from the outside perimeter, with a slider set at 23 theres just gonna too many missed shots

Nah man, give them a try.

You'll see that everything works together, especially the fact that when you go for a layup and collide with someone, you miss the shot without it counting as a block, and this with happen often if you dont get more space to shoot a ball, something that is realistic IMO.

Plus, you'll notice that setting 23 actually gives you 46% shooting.

This game at default lets people have 50 pt quarters at 80-90% shooting, so my sliders make sense.

BTW I play on All Star, cuz I get my ass handed to me too hard on Superstar, if anyone was wondering how I play with these settings.

One other thing I've noticed that seems to help the defense: getting good shots on offense. This isn't just about avoiding turnovers (but definitely avoid them if you can). The game seems to have its own idea about what constitutes a "good" offensive series, and if the game thinks you ran a good offensive series it is much less likely to burn you with an almost impossible to defend 2-on-1 break.

The game will attack your defense less aggresively if you run a set play, don't get a shot blocked, don't shoot out of a double team, get to the foul line, and of course score a basket.

I agree I've notice that too!

Yes the cpu is a copy cat. If you drive to the rack, they will penetrate, you pop a 3, they'll bounce back with a trey, if you shit, then they crap.

i am playing a game that both cpu and the user are very easily to get the ball in, and make inside D useless (very low rebound and blocking statistics)

....and what game is that? :)

NBA Jam

how can u adjust your transition defense

Tue Dec 20, 2005 9:31 pm

i ve notice that if u steal the ball from the computer they can immediately go back for defense where as, if it happened to you u cant cope up with their speed. i tried using the same computer team this time, but it acts as though wat ever team ur using u a very slow to go back on defense, does anybody know the solution for this?

If you can call a defensive play as soon as they steal the ball your players will get back quicker, and vice versa on offense.
