To me the best NBA Live game would have...

Hello all, first time poster... I'm avoiding homework as usual but this is very important!!! hehe. I'll post this in the wishlist too (even though '06 has been submitted) but i thought I'd run it by everyone.

I'm sure this idea has been expressed, I don't profess to be the first one who thought of it... but for years and years (more or less ever since multiple season play has been available) I've pined over an option where you could start with a team say in 1985 and then the draft classes come year by year as they did in real life. That to me would be the ultimate NBA fans game... if it got a bit boring or you were having a bad season you could look forward to drafting one of your favourite players in the upcoming draft class. That would be the ultimate dynasty mode.

1991 for example - you may think that Billy Owens isnt worth the number 3 pick... Dikembe may be a better fit.

Obviously this isn't easy to make, and there would be bugs regarding how do you determine where players are drafted by the CPU and what years they retire... but to me... to any NBA fan who has loved the game for 5+ years this would be AWESOME!

Maybe 1985 is too far back. That's fair enough. Maybe 1995 is a good year because that's when the NBA Live name came into play

Im my opinion, If this was possible this option would RULE!

To add to this - I like dynasty mode but I don't really care for the computer generated players in the future drafts... to me they're just names, they're nothing to get excited about because they're fake...

I want NBA NBA NBA! Going back into the past and taking it up to the future would allow this.

It would be very cool to choose as well - like you might want to start off as the 91 Bulls or whatever

It would be indeed awesome. The only thing standing in the way are licensing problems. It would be somewhat expensive for EA as far as licensing rights are concerned, and that's assuming all those former players are willing to be in the game in the first place. But if it was possible, it would be sweet.

Yeh I agree it would be exceptional, but like you've said, it will cost a lot... :( Nice suggestions... :D

The beauty of this is even if a few players here and there don't want to be included - if the majority don't mind being included then screw those that don't want to... and when they see its popular maybe in the next version they'd give their thumbs up?
