Sorry I didn't know where to ask this.
In my Dynasty, I'm trying to change a players position in this case Wade back to shooting guard (I had initially changed him to the point using the DB commander pro so the heat could play him and newly signed Ben Gordon together instead of benching Gordon like they had done). The problem is it won't let me make the modification. Every time I do it, it returns it to its original state. How do I save the changes?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure what the problem is, but you can edit your own players first and second positions in the edit player menu... No need to .dbf change that.

DB comander dosn't always save the last change I make, could you be having the same problem. My workaround is just doing one or two nonsense changes after the main one, ie input redundant data on another player that already exists.

Looks like it wasn't saving the last change. Thanks for the help.
These weren't my own players that was why I had to go in through the editor. I had to save Miami from thier own stupidity.

Hey, I've got a similar problem with this program. I am using the trial version atm.
In my dynasty I've got two drafted players whose ratings I'd like to adjust: One's got 90 as a jump rating but 51 as dunk rating, the other's got 91 dunk and only 54 jump. I'd like to boost their natural gifts so they both can develop into top-dunkers.
So I open the players file from my save folder and edit the ratings accordingly. It seems to save them fine since the edited numbers show up when I close the program and open it again. But there is no effect in the game. When I load my dynasty all the ratings are as they were before editing.
What's wrong?!

There are often two versions of the same player, and only one is the guy on your team.
Check for a duplicate entry for the player, and modify that one.
