I have it set on 6....I think if I set it on 12 both sides would score around 150 points a game. I also don't really have the patience to have the gamespeed on really slow.

Just use sliders for 12 min. then
I always use 7 minutes with adjusted sliders

Well, yes, but that's been the case ever since sliders were introduced to the NBA Live series back in Live 2004. Before that, I still played 12 minute quarters.

I Find that the best balance between realism, time, and fun happens at about 9-10 minute quarters. You can achieve the same exact scores in 7 or 8 minute games, but the play is less realistic. You dont use the shotclock or run set plays, you are always running the floor and taking quick shots or rushing down court to an open center when the team hasnt got back on D.

With 9-10 min q's you can use the entire clock while still having less boredom of a slowed down game. You can take normal shots or run the floor when you want. You can play as a phoenix/seattle run and gun game or an indiana/miami set play type of team in the same game.

I find that even with the sliders realistic scores are hard to attain at 12 min quarters and the game must be slowed down so much its difficult, boring, and frustrating at times.... I always finding myself going to great efforts to keep the game score realistic.

I play 10 minute quarters. Even losers like me don't have the time to waste on 12 min quarters.

6 min quarters with adjusted sliders. Games often end 100 to 90. Too high but I haven't figured out a better way for 6 min quarters.

I have, playing from start to finish a couple of times. However I'm usually forced to simulate a portion of the year and sim more frequently in the second year onwards.
