I hate just lose it so much...
Lose Yourself is a pretty good song, so is Run Rabbit Run. And Em did a pretty good job with Soldier (should be Souljah :? )like me on Loyal to the Game.

I can't say anything good about Shiddy Cent though.

What's wrong with Eminem? I'll agree with 50, but not so sure what the deal is with Em.

See Colin's post, and imo Eminem was never good he sucked even on his earlier albums and I hope he falls of a cliff and dies for producing Loyal to the Game.

On the other hand the new Outlawz album leaked yesterday and I got my hands on it, seems like a good album with a few standouts but the album is still not the quality of say their album Novakane.

If you're going to base your whole opinion of Eminem on his song "Just Lose It", your opinion loses all sorts of credibility. The song is intended to make people laugh, it's not supposed to be some kind of epiphany on life. And I'll have to disagree with your comments on Encore. First, his track Encore with Dre and 50 is wicked, rarely do I see a song where three artists can flow together and exchange lines like that.

I have much respect with Eminem, I think his lyrics are very well put together and he's such a brilliant individual. Songs like Till I Collapse, Renegade, Lose Yourself, he's an extremely talented artist. Don't forget his ability to sing as well (refer to Hailey's Song). Everytime he's featured in a song (refer to Warriors Part Two), he rips it up. Mad respect for Em. Regardless of what you guys say, when you're white, you have to have some sort of talent to gain respect from the rap industry.

Did you read what I posted. "Just Lose It is...soooo awful. And the rest of Encore doesn't get much better."

Hallie's Song is a stupid, sorry excuse of a song. On The Eminem Show there were pretty good songs that were something like tracks 15-17. On a rating of 1 (being J-Kwon, Chingy, etc.) to 10 (being Nas, Rakim, Wu-Tang, etc.) Eminem is about a 3.5. While the mentioned songs are about a 5, and the Marshall Mathers LP is a 6.5.

I respect that a white boy has made it this far in a black dominated industry, but fact is that I just hate what I hear and what he does. Everytime I hear him on a song it just fucks up the whole track, caus I hate his voice that much.
Benzino just released a diss track to the G-Unit/Aftermath camp, I got a little respect for Benzino now his album 'Arch Nemesis' was suprisingly good.

Yeh I did read what you posted, and I did comment on another track on the album.

I guess it's pretty hard to like a rapper if you dislike his voice. There's nothing you or he could do about that. But other than you saying "those are bad songs", I can't find other reasons why it qualifies him as a bad rapper and that anybody who likes him has no knowledge of the rap industry.

if you listen to rappers like Nas, Rakim, Cormega, Canibus, Big L, most of the Wu (i'm leaving you out Cappa), Scarface, even 2Pac and Biggie. You would realize why Eminem isn't very good. And those are still popular artists.

Even if I did like his voice, I would still put at least a 100 rappers over him...

Exactly what I said. You hear that someone is an Eminem fan, and you immediately assume that all they listen to is mainstream gangster imitation rap. Well newsflash, you're wrong. Do you honestly think I would post in here without having heard any of those artists? Come on, be serious here. That is why I asked the question... and all I've been getting is vague responses. Big fan of Nas, Rakim, 2pac, Immortal Technique, K-os, etc. But also proud to say fan of Eminem.

I asked a question. What's wrong with Eminem? Let's get an answer.

I've got it, you're one of those people who grew up listening to rap that's not so good, or listened to at a certain point in your life, and you've become unaware as to how it's not very good. Case in point: on HHC (the hip-hop website) a couple people that were like 13 and relatively new to hip-hop listened to DMX's debut (or second album) they remember that being the first good album they listened to it, so they think it's a classic. But it's not really. Just like I continually overrate Stillmatic, I love it becuase One Mic introduced me to "real" hip-hop.

In short, being a fan of an artist, doesn't mean you have to think they're a talented artist.

But people don't criticize me because Nas is so Eminem.

Mm hmm... to me, that's a pretty cop-out answer. I mean come on, you're telling that Eminem is bad because I don't know how to differentiate between good rap and bad rap. Maybe you're right about how I grew up to music... but then how do you explain me having complete hatred towards 50 cent, jay-z, and JaRude? I DO know what sounds bad, and I DO know how to formulate my own opinions. You're wrong though because my appreciation for Eminem goes beyond being just a "fan". I respect him as an artist, and I think he's very talented. Put him in a freestyle battle against anyone in the industry, 9/10 he'll rip him/her up.

How you are with Nas, that's like how I am with Will Smith (which I know Skip likes). He can put out anything, and I'll be a big fan. But to be honest, he's not a great rapper, especially nowadays. Most people would categorize him as being too "written", as in it's as if he's just reading straight off the paper. THAT is a valid reason for why someone is not good.

Kanye is nice, College Dropout was one of the best albums of 04 and can't wait for his new album 'Late Registration' to drop.

Kanye is no doubt one of the best in the game, IMO. One of my favorite rappers goes to Young Buck. I didn't no much bout him until a few months ago when I picked up his CD but he got some serious flow if you ask me.

What everyone else think of Young Buck?

Kanye is like a 7.5/10 at rapping, and I give him a 9 for producing. I love that opening track produciton on Common's new album Be (yea, Common gave me an advance copy :D ). I've always loved jazzy hip-hop like Q-Tip's work as Kamaal the Abstract. Feelin' by Kamaal is one kickass song.

Young Buck is ok, but he's in G-Unit so :o to him.

Common's new albums if fucking great, lets hope appearances by Kanye West and John Mayer can get him some more sales.

I've already told about 15 of my friends about this album that don't listen to Com, and are going to because of Kanye. (Y) Only 45 days left to hype people up about the album. :D

Yup, he had a car crash prior to that I believe, amazing hes still alive but thank god he is. (y)

I agree with Colin, Kanye West isnt a "great" rapper but he definitely is prolly one of the best producers. Hes the East Coasts answer to Dr.Dre I guess....

I saw the video to Ghetto Gospel...first time I heard the track....its a pretty nice track from 2Pac, sadly the only Pac songs they air normally is California Love and Do For Love and now and then they play Till The End Of Time and that track that has Nas on it...I believe its Thugz Mansion?...but I think Launch has like all 2Pac's video...well at least the ones that are viewable.

Man it was horrible when they played Gorilla Cent's Candy Shop beat at the Nuggets vs Timberwolves game....he has ideal tracks for clubs and party's no doubt but in terms of lyrics and rep he certaintly has nil....but hey the man gets some fine ass women in his videos....at least that takes away the eye sore of seeing him (y)
