Hey Dogg you will be happy to know that I listened to that Big Pooh album and I'm glad you told me about it (Y)

Album is fire man, his voice is kinda similar to Nas and his flow is great. Definetely in my top 5 albums of 05!

I got Will Smith's new album Lost And Found about two hours ago, album is actually ok better then I expected.

It has some great tracks on it like
Lost & Found
Tell Me Why

then some just terrible tracks
If You Cant Dance
Wave Em Off

Still a pretty enjoyable album, whats your thoughts on it for the people that have it?

Not sold here yet, supposedly later this month. I heard his latest single, it's alright. But then again, I'm biased. He can put out anything and I'll like it. Trust me, this is the only artist I do this with...

I don't care what anyone says, Will Smith is awesome. I love the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and he's oldschool too.

You obviously haven't heard Will Smith. Earlier in his career, he was a good, yes, a good rapper with a nice flow. Perhaps you guys may disagree with me but the fact that he beat Big Daddy Kane is the icing on the cake.

I haven't had a change to listen to his new album yet but according to CREDIBLE friends of mine (who have the same taste), they enjoyed the album and were quite surprised.

Has anyone heard Daddy Yankee? that guy fucking pisses me off.

Damn right, most people just laugh when they hear that Will Smith is a rapper. But earlier on in his career he was a very well respected rapper. His latest album is pretty good, listened to it a few times. The track with Mary J Blige is fire.

He wasn't very respected... His rap was considers as soft and was, by many, not thought of being real rap. Although it was mostly other rappers/artists that didn't think his style was enough to be called hip-hop, but the general public seemed to like him though despite he was softer than most other; although I think that was one of the things that people liked.

I still like his older stuff though. I've got 5 or his records, after Code Red and forward. In my opinion he was never the same as he was after Big Willie Style. Willenium was the start from where it all started to go down.

Anyone heard of a underground rapper named Aesop Rock ?

He's very popular with the music heads, and I've been sleeping on him for so long mainly caus his name had the word rock in it
Got his album Labor Days yesterday and the album is great, lyrics are great, has a intriguing voice too.

I had a couple Ron Artest tracks but deleted them, believe one was named Poppin Off

Aesop Rock is sweet. I had a few of his albums (lost 'em though) a while ago and their all great. He's not quite like the regular rappers we see today; rapping about their hoes, dubbz and various other geeky expressions that they don't live up to anyways. He's more about the proper lyrics as he is really rhetorical. Too bad that I don't 'get' like half of the stuff that he says though...

Pitbull is Latino....i heard him on the 2 Fast 2 Furious soundtrack....i think

I'm listening to Joe, he's a really nice R&B dude and he's coming to Perth and I already got tickets....hoping to get an autograph too.

P.S this might become the first ever NLSC thread to reach 1000 posts spam free.
