Why is it a classic though. I could just as easily say "the humming noise I made while I was washing the dishes is a classic" but that wouldn't make it so.

Meh.

Anyway I just got home from a Velvet Revolver concert. Fuck it was awesome.

Slash rocked out, only missed one note in his fall to pieces solo, but besides that it was an honor to see a legend playing 2metres from me.

It was hilarious when Scott Weiland told off a guy who was waving a guns n roses shirt. "You are disrespecting the band, you are disrespecting the crowd....GET THE FUCK OUT.......no really... GET THE FUCK OUT"

They played one stp cover and two Guns n Roses covers (its so easy :headbang: and Mr Brownstone ).

My mate and I were in the mosh pit (Y) kicked ass.

It was an unforgetable experience . I'd suggest anyone who likes rock n fucken roll to check them out. :)

Why is Illmatic a classic ?

For one reason it tells a great story, all the songs have a great meaning to them something that is hard to find in hip hop today. Anyway I've gotta go, gotta leave for school soon. I'll reply a little more to this later...

Agreed with the legend/respect factor.
It also has to do with, how much well the frontman can connect to the crowd.

Well if you don't like the band, of course it will suck.

I've seen Sytem of a down and Slipknot live too. System of a down were fucken awesome, and slipknot are just a fucken joke.

I woulda creamed seeing foo fighters live.

im saying that there was a big difference between every band i have ever seen play and metallica, it was just hard to believe i was there because it was metallica, although i would have to say the best gig i have seen is system of a down but there was just a huge difference in the atmoshphere

it was great seeing Metallica live at BDO 2004 as been a huge fan, although the mosh pit was disappointing as I think most people were in awe and not really going nuts....

Tool's mosh pit was pretty sweet....

Metallica canceled their concert here man!!

Assholes!! 90% of people I knew had tickets, and we were so pissed off!!!
It was in the last minute possible, that's what bothered me most...

But hey, I've been to Maiden thrice, so, I'm still happy.
