I haven't seen any superb movies lately....

Top one would have to be Batman Begins....also enjoyed Cinderella Man, American Psycho, Star Wars Episode 3 & Sin City....don't know how you guys didn't follow Sin City's storyline, was pretty straightforward....Elijah Wood's best acting role by far....

Others that I enjoyed but weren't great were Narnia, Constantine, Coach Carter, Hitch, The Island & Stealth (mindless entertainment, would never watch it again)

Worst ones would have to be War of the Worlds, Monster In Law, Fantastic Four, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Madagascar....

So-so movies included Wedding Crashers, The Longest Yard & Cheaper By the Dozen 2....


have to watch King Kong and Serenity as I haven't got around to watching them....

next trip to cinema will probably end up in a movie like The Producers or that Johnny Cash movie (it's gf's choice next I guess)....my next choice will probably be Underworld or something like that....unless Glory Road is on, but that's probably a DVD choice I'd say....

The reason Sin City was so violent is because its based on the comic of the same nature. Its meant to be a run down, crime filled, city.

I like a good movie now and then but rarely watch them.

I did however see a hilarious movie on Comedy Central the other day called "My 5 Wives" featuring the late Rodney Dangerfield. It's a pity that the world has lost such a hilarious comedian like Dangerfield...I remember one scene in the film where he is traveling in a dumpster and went "Hey...I'm white trash!" Any movie with Rodney Dangerfield is worth watching simply because the guy was one of the funniest comedians ever. RIP.

For current movies I would like to see either Munich or Glory Road. Both look good. I want to see Date Movie too , I enjoy comedies no matter how bad they might be. I remember a scene from the "Date Movie" commercials featuring a short black midget saying "Hell no , this ain't Hitch" or something like that , funny scene.

I have never seen Peter Jackson's King Kong and don't plan to. Both Skip Bayless and Tony Kornheiser criticized the movie , and Kornheiser lamented about the extremely long length of the film. Someone else on a forum I go to wrote something about King Kong being a horrible CGI fest and lacking acting etc.

Has anyone seen Underworld Evolution? I would like to see it because the first one overachieved my expectations. I thought that Underworld would be a cheap vampire movie with a lot of Matrix-style rip-offs, but it actually had a lot more story than I thought it would have.

Any recommendations or should I stay away from this one?

Has anybody seen House of a 1000 corpses? That's the most whacked out muthafuckin' movie of all time. 'Nuff said.

That movie's a little disturbing, but I thought it was boring for the most part. Terrible plot.

Really? I thought it was awful. The newer ones (Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later) were good. I managed to watch Day of the Dead several months ago, and I thought it was very good for an old movie. I haven't seen the other ones, but if I remember correctly, Dead Alive is the zombie flick with the monkey, the grandma and the lawnmower? If it is, then that's probably the goriest movie ever made.

I feel the same way, especially in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I never liked him in LOTR, I found him very annoying.

Land of the Dead is a zombie flick. Zombie flicks are automatically 'semi decent' regardless of how much they suck. IMO, by FAR the worst George Romero zombie-related film.

While on the topic of fly kicks, I recently got to finally watch Seven Swords the other day. Big disappointment. No substantial storyline and the fight scenes were nothing special. Almost feels like it was made by the same people who made Power Rangers.

I haven't seen the original one, but it's exactly that - a mix of social criticism, drama and zombies which made 28 Days Later a surprisingly better movie than I thought, as well as Day of the Dead. I do have Night of the Living Dead on my PVR right now, but I haven't had the time to watch it.

Really, it's like watching a movie version of Pokemon, you can't kick a soccer ball like that, exagerration is a form of art.

Anyways, watched Saw I & II. Saw I was fucking hilarious, I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long while. It wasn't joke/comedy type laughing, it was more like OMG lmfao laughing. That dude is a legend, that he just laid there for that long, pure genius. Hats off to the dude.

Saw II, given some folks haven't seen it, all I'll say is...it's good to play by the rules.

newer ones i've bought are: crash, raising victor vargas, fight club, garden state, before sunset, before sunrise, punch drunk love, i also want to buy soderbergh's new movie, bubble which just came out. i might buy imaginary heroes, not sure. hmmm, what else, can't think of anything, i'll pipe in if i remember. oooh run lola run is okay too. saving private ryan? memento is good.

i love movie soundtracks too, off the top of my head anything danny boyle is usually good (ala 28 days later, trainspotting, the beach, etc.), garden state and wicker park are really good too, singles is a classic, just listening to the american beauty one right now.
