Well you said Living Outlawz lol then you said your favourite is Kadafi...

Mine of all the Outlawz is Kadafi, he was great. Of the living I would say EDI, Kastro used to be but he has really fucked up his flow trying to sound like a heavy South rapper.

Anyways, I find it such a big joke that everyone here spits on Eminem. They use Eminem as part of a joke, "OMG RAP NOOB, GO LISTEN TO YOUR EMINEM!" And then when someone actually confronts them about it, all the supposed rap experts have nothing to say.

Did anyone actually say that ? I said I respect you, some people like Eminem some don't...

I haven't really listened to any of their new stuff, just teh stuff they did with Pac :lol:

Get their new album, it isnt great but its a solid 4/5 definetely.

Are you actually telling me that he did not evolve as an artist? When he first became popular, he was heralded as immature. And now, he's way more deep as an individual and is not "sticking" to his old stuff.

He has not evolved because he is not trying anything new. By the time everyone heard rumours about The Eminem Show, we knew the 'funny' single was coming followed by the 'deep' single. By this time it was all material we had heard before, with a video that wasn't original either. Surprise, surprise it happened again on Encore! But now it was even worse than before. And Em was left making fart jokes and making fun of someone no one else made fun of: Michael Jackson!!! Now yes I am using this song against him, but if can't use this, you can't use Stan to support him (his best song, IMO).

I do like Eminem on Marhsall Mathers, and a little bit on Slim Shady (Guilty Conscience, that was original, just like Stan. But you have to agree that Eminem has not been a good artist since than barring a few songs ('Till I Collapse, Rabbit Run).

Fine, I won't use Stan, I'll use all the other singles he's released. Man, all you do is keep referring to 'Just Lose It'. He's reverted back to his old self, he released ONE song that is like his old days! OMG his whole career is the same.

Right... Stan, Cleaning Out My Closet, Superman, Mockingbird, Toy Soldiers... all weren't the same.

This is getting ridiculous. Whenever you say anything bad about Eminem, it's always "refer to Just Lose It". I know you told me not to use Stan, but I used it anyways... PLUS AT LEAST 3 OTHER TRACKS. And what is your retort? To point out a little error I made, although it has no impact whatsoever. I said not to use Just Lose It, and what do you do? Use Just Lose it. You told me not to use Stan. What did I do? I used Stan AND a bunch of other examples. In fact, I'll list them all again without using Stan.

Cleaning Out My Closet, Mockingbird, Little Toy Soldiers, Sing For The Moment, Lose Yourself, Run Rabbit Run, Renegade, Soldier, Superman, Encore, Till I Collapse.

Man forget this. When I first posted my question "What's wrong with Eminem?", I thought I was actually going to get an intelligent response that would help clear things up. But obviously, you have no clue what you are talking about. There's nothing wrong with Em, you know it, I know it. As you said, don't confuse being a fan of someone's music with respecting someone as an artist. You may not like him, but don't say the man doesn't have talent.

Those are all songs that are alright, but they are the same old thing. They are not progressive. Look at other artists. Rakim. Started out with a classic and his rhyme schemes and topics got deeper and deeper. He started out with the "I'll rip you apart, my DJ is the best DJ" that was standard in the 80's. But throughout the rest of his albums with Eric B. and solo, he started rapping about actual material. Outkast has 3 classic albums (Southernplaya..., ATLiens, Aquemini) but they are not the same. They don't all have the same sound. Now Andre went crazy, so that might not be the best example, but it applies for the first albums anyways. Look at the best rapper of all time (IMO) It Was Written was different from Illmatic, Stillmatic was different from It Was Written, The Lost Tapes were different from Stillmatic, etc. He keeps progressing and has evolved from the street poet he once was, because he isn't in the streets anymore. He isn't rapping about shooting people anymore, he's rapping about getting married and the progression of "blues to jazz to rap."

You may not like him, but don't say the man doesn't have talent.

I never said he didn't have talent. He has way too much talent to be putting out shit records. He has found a niche where he can release material that is no different from what he put out before, and still sell millions of records. And he's happily nearing being a sell-out (if he puts out 2 albums in a row like Encore, including one close to it before in the Eminem Show, he has definitely a sell-out, IMO.)
DMX and Mobb Deep went through similar things. They are/were running out of material and just re-hashing the same tired old ideas. They both started out with a couple great albums and steadily fell off. Although never to the level of Eminem. Prodigy is borderline wack nowadays.

I don't like Em because

a) he rhymes too much about his family, and family is a really exhaustive topic, theres only so much you can do

b) he makes shitty songs.....just lose it, w/o me, the real slim shady etc....i don't care what their purpose is, they are shit

c) he picks beef with Britney, Christina, Moby, N*Sync....lame

d) his 'deep' song soldier he says he isn't in the music for the beef which we all know is horseshit because on the same CD he makes fun of MJ.

e) he royally fucked up 2pac's CD trunna put his name on it....his production is terrible, the worst i've heard as far as rap goes and this is no exaggeration...no objection if he died

the list goes on but im too tired for this shit

I copped a album by a underground rapper named Edan, the album is called Beauty And The Beat and I gotta say this album simply blew me away. One of the only rappers I've heard that mixes so many genres of music in one album, here's a review if you want to check it out...
