Ratings go back to default even after it is changed.

I don't why but when I try to personally change some of the ratings of any player in the game(doing it manually in the game itself, not using DBF pro), to my surprise, the ratings restore back to what it was, even if it said I successfully saved it. I tried reinstalling the game, without any patches or players.dbf changes, and still I can't edit anyone. I know I change the ratings with no problem at all using DBF pro, but I like only want to change the ratings of about 20 superstars, and doing that in DBF pro just turns me off. Just finding the superstars by scrolling down the list is difficult enough.

Have you tried loading the rosters after you've saved it?
