Played first time with my settings look at this! new rosters

Postby DaRealBlade on Sat Nov 16, 2002 7:06 pm

i played first time yesterday 2 games with my settings you all have (or not)
my settings are on STARTER! and 12 mins per quater. but in the strategy menu i changed all players for high defense and no doubles in both teams. box out and crashing boards should turn off. believe me, if you playing not to fast, it will be very hard to make points.so its very good and a bball simulation, not arcade.

here are my results:

Entire Game Cleveland Washington

Points 111 106
Bench Scoring 38 28
Field Goals 37/80 42/99
Field Goal % .462 .424
3 Point FG 5/14 4/14
3 Point % .357 .286
Free Throws 32/41 18/28
Free Throw % .780 .643
Rebounds 40 49
Off. Rebounds 6 18
Def. Rebounds 34 31
Blocks 8 6
Steals 10 11
Assists 22 17
Turnovers 23 22
Fouls 22 26

Entire Game New Orleans Indiana

Points 93 104
Bench Scoring 25 31
Field Goals 35/89 43/88
Field Goal % .393 .489
3 Point FG 10/36 8/18
3 Point % .278 .444
Free Throws 13/23 10/14
Free Throw % .565 .714
Rebounds 40 56
Off. Rebounds 6 9
Def. Rebounds 34 47
Blocks 5 7
Steals 17 15
Assists 16 21
Turnovers 19 26
Fouls 16 11

after that i put my settings with an new rosterupdate together to have the newest rosters of all teams.

ask if you want it....

bye

Could you send it to kreativefocus@hotmail.com. Thank you very much.
One more thing, does anyone know how to make a freethrow above starter lvl? The meters was really fast even for a good FT shooter!!! I got killed in FT in my last couple of games. :D

Could I get a copy as well. Curious, when you cranked up the pressure D, did that create more fouls?

Looks like nice scores.

Could someone walk me through the dl please. I know there are several spots on the board, but I haven't had one work yet.

I know you go to my docs/database/current db for sure. Do you also dl the rosters in the originaldb and the working db in my documuments.

And to you dl the rosters to the game directory into the db?

When you fire up the game, just go to options, load save, load and there should be a new roster awaiting for you. Thanks for your help.

What exactly do you mean by HIGH Defence?...what mode did you use - startegy or arcade?...and how did you set the ofensive strategy - it's DYNAMIC by default? I tried changing the settings and played 12mins Qtr on starter (NJ & ATL) but both teams scored around 45-50 pts. per Qtr and shot high %... and Kidd kept shooting the 3-pointers...I'm playing with the original files, nothing changed.

sorry folks, i made a fault, this file is not updated

Postby DaRealBlade on Sun Nov 17, 2002 6:36 am

im sorry but something went wrong and my file is not up to date :(
i have to do this one more time, and then i will post it again...

for those who didnt understood me.

in the defensive matchup, the pressure has to be on HIGH, and double has to be turned OFF on all players, your team and the cpu team, do the changes!

then in the team strategy turn CRASH BOARDS and BOX OUT off.

ok thats all, if you have any questions ask me please.

the defense and offense strategy doesnt matter i thing, but you can try to change it and look what happens

bye

Just one more quick question.

For the team strategy Box Out and Crash Boards setting it to no, you only do that for the team you are controlling I assume. Should we set the other team to Yes and Yes, so the rebounds are realistic?

And, the things that I don't think can be fixed right now are the Steals. Blocks aren't too bad, but steals is going to take a lot practice in making good passes, but also there are crap steals. You're backing in and the defender basically pushes and the ball falls to the ground for a steal. It gets so frustrating, and I'm on a short chain with this game... This game has so much potential if we can just tweak it right.

Damn, I forgot I have another question. Sorry to be a bother, but I notice in your stats you are getting good foul totals. Where on the meter are you settings offensive and defensive fouls? I guess you could just count the notches from the left, since there are no numbers to base it on.

Also, I just thought maybe you'd turn the CPU Box out and Crash boards on, cause looking at your stats you won rebounding 49-40 and 56-40. So, maybe it would close the gap in the rebounding department.

And, I guess when you have a new file to go, send it my way. Sudi529@aol.com

Keep up the good work, I appreciate it.

for the rules:

offensive fouls are on maximum
defensive are about the maximum minus 3 or 4 i think....

Okay thanks. I'll try 4 notches from the left for defensive.

And, anyone notice how even with CPU Assistance off, sometimes you make a pass and the CPU will control your player. I really hate that. Maybe I should read the manual or something to figure that out. As a matter of fact, I think I will right now then try to play a game with all these settings.

CPU Assistance doesn't have any bearing on that (or least hasn't in previous Live games) it simply makes which team is down play better...
