Played the BEST GAME OF MY LIFE

Postby BBoy9931 on Thu Nov 14, 2002 4:16 pm

omg...what a game after some tweaks....i tweaked the hell out of the dbfs and I basically got rid of blocks....only 9 between both teams together! Then FG % was 53 for the cpu and 60 for me(i need to lower a lil more, but it was on all star), I made speed slower, but they could stll run n gun on you in a hurry if you do stupid moves. I lowered the three pointers, me and the computer shot about 25%, and on 8 Min qtrs, Chicago Bulls vs New Orleans Hornets, it was 88-87, I was Chicago and won. I was down by 11 goin in the 4th. i love this game. Only problem were the steals. I need to lower them still drastically. Everything else was perfect. here are the stats.

Entire Game New Orleans Chicago

Points 87 88
Bench Scoring 30 7
Field Goals 37/69 39/64
Field Goal % .536 .609
3 Point FG 4/18 3/12
3 Point % .222 .250
Free Throws 9/11 7/24
Free Throw % .818 .292
Rebounds 27 34
Off. Rebounds 1 8
Def. Rebounds 26 26
Blocks 3 6
Steals 15 10
Assists 24 16
Turnovers 17 19
Fouls 23 10

Yo Fellas,

Could you guys tell us how much you've dipped the ratings? I tried goin 5 and 10 down in certain categories but it didn't
help.

Thanks.

The framerates were a little off. I get my new video card today...so we'll see. Ummm...the DBF file, I want to tweak a little more for steals,a nd then I will send it out. I am gonna do some more testing. Most of the steals though were just dumass mistakes by me.

Not to knock you or anything but NBA teams average 85-90 shots a game so you are 20 under average for both teams so this isn't too realistic.

He is 20 under the average number of shots because he was playing 8 minute quarters instead of the NBA-regulation 12 minute 1/4s.

This is my edit of players.dbf: http://rashbanor.neostrada.pl/playersDBF.zip
It gives me pretty realistic stats on superstar level. Gemeplay is much more realistic also. The only problem is that, if you're good enough, you can still block way too many shots - but it's impossible to fix this issue by editing players.dbf. Ofcourse, CPU controlled teams are blocking in the right way - just a few blocks per game.
