Will my logitech mouse cause choppiness?

I have a logitech mouse with both ps2 and usb connectors. I am connecting it as ps2 device. Will it cause the choppiness?

If you're talking about a wireless mouse - it shouldn't. Mine doesn't. When you connect via the PS/2 port, as far as the computer is concerned, it's just a standard mouse plugged in.

If you start seeing choppiness suddenly, it may be that the batteries in the mouse need replacing.
