is there a tutorial on how to edit .dbf files?

I do not know if this thread belongs in here, but I know it would be viewed the most in this section of the forum. I just want to know how to edit them, I see people posting how they tweaked their .dbf files to make the game better, I want to do the same too. Thanks.

Short: Use Access to open the file, Excel to edit the column, paste back to Access and save it.
