A question about CPU Assistance

Sat Nov 23, 2002 2:43 pm

whats the difference between the CPU Assistance on or off? more fg accuracy? less TOs or somethin' else?

It helps the losing team catch up, keeps the score close basically. Meaning the winning team will miss more shots(you can see this happen when you dunk alot), and the losing team will make more shots.

CPU Assistance has its advantages and disadvantages. It's good if you want a challenge and makes it harder for you to have blowout games, but it gets frustrating as the CPU team will quite blatantly "cheat". Personally, I would not recommend turning this option on unless you want an extra challenge, as it usually causes more frustration than it does give you a better game.

I've just used Heats to play against Jazz (All Star , NO CPU assistant)

I was leading 10 in the final 2 minutes, Stockton and Malone threw 3-point attempt like crazy, but they missed them all

After i grabbed the rebounds, i was able to beat stockton 6 consecutives times on fastbreaks by Eddie Jones and C.Butler

Guess what? They missed 3 uncontested layup/dunk out of 6

Computer cheated? i think so
