So i don't think the West always has homecourt advantage.. but anyway I just wanted to know if it was possible. Anyways thanks Andrew

well after spending some time trying to edit it, someone finally posted and told me this doesn't change the homecourt advantage, but like you said only affects the hometeam's chances of winning at home.

,cant they just give the edge to the team with the best regular season record?

They don't switch over the advantage.Swoosh wrote:if there is one thing i never got with nba rules its all this stuff about gaining and losing home court advantage while the playoffs are busy, i do understand the record in the regular season and stuff thats simple but the spurs lost game 1 against NJ and lost homecourt and won 2 and won it back, what kinda crap i think, cant they just give the edge to the team with the best regular season record?
It's just because if the series is a 2-3-2 like in the finals and you win one of the games and loose one of the games at the other teams home then the series is tied 1-1 and you have 3 games at home and they have 2 games at home, so you technically have homecourt advantage. You see?
