Cheating in online play...

Is cheating during online play something that's fairly common, in terms of boosting a particular roster or decreasing another's for an advantage. I know i'm not the best at NBA Live just yet...but sometimes i get into these games and it's ridicuous how many times i get the ball stolen or miss very simple layups or my players are a step slower than the opposition.

I really just want to know how easy is it to cheat like this....any input?
