Help a Noob out.

I found my copy of NBA Live 2005 this weekend and (sorry if im posting in the wrong area) I downloaded a roster patch but I have no idea how to apply it, I pasted the files into the Database folder but yet when I boot up the game no changes are made. If anyone can show me a tutorial or can help me out I'd really appreciate it.

Also, I'm not going to lurk and be a troll or anything. 2005 in my opinion is the best Live of all time and I would by happy to try to contribute on to the site.

Welcome.

If it's the latest version of the NLSC update, all you need to do is run install.exe and the files will be extracted to the saves folder and the main game folder automatically. You can then load the updated rosters from within the game (but not in a Dynasty/Season/Playoffs already in progress).

What about classic roster patches like the 1984-1985 season? Thanks for the help for that file though

Moved again, put this in the 2005 tutorials section instead of the 2005 section.

Once you extract the files to your save folder, they should be available in the Load/Save menu.
