rookie codes

I can't seem to unlock the hidden rookies in Live 2004. I type in the code on the last name of the create player option but nothing seems to happen. I also don't use a roster patch when I try to unlock them, so that's probably not the issue. Am I doing something wrong? Could someone help me out?

That's happening with me too.

The only player I could unlock was Jermin Dupri.

These are cheat codes right?

just change their ORIGTEAM and TEAM values to 29 in players.dbf, and they will appear in free agents pool

I'm sure the codes work for the PC version, though it's been a while since I did any significant work with NBA Live 2004. Are you entering them in all capitals? I believe you need to do that. Otherwise it's easy enough to unlock them through the method davis28 described.

Yea, I am using all capitals and what-not. Something is wrong with the game, but you have to do what davis28 said so you can unlock them, weird. Must be a bug with NBA Live 04.
