DANet - NATIONAL TEAMS PATCH RELEASED (OLYMPIC EDITION)

National Teams 2004 Roster V1.0- by Santiago Roza (Kq)
This patch adds 25 national teams to NBA Live 2004, including up-to-date rosters of 10 players/team; plus 5 extra teams. All 12 teams competing this summer in the Athens 2004 Olympic Games are included!

National Teams 2004 Art V1.1
This patch adds real team jerseys, front end art, international courts, and a stadium to all the teams in the roster patch; includes the National Teams roster patch v1.0.

UPDATE (March 9, 2004): V1.1 now allows the user to choose to install the National Teams files directly into the game VIV files or by using NBA Live's customart feature. No new graphics or roster changes were added in the V1.1 update.

OPTIONAL: Euroleague face activation for NTeams roster V1.0
This patch activates the Euroleague faces in the NTeams roster for those users who have the Euroleague 2004 patch installed. You must have the Euroleague patch installed before installing this patch.

Recommended installation procedure:
1. Download and install the National Teams 2004 Art patch
2. Download and install the Euroleague face activation for NTeams roster (for those users who have the Euroleague 2004 patch installed)

These patches Will NOT affect your regular NBA rosters, leagues, franchises, graphics etc.

I decided i wouldnt install any more patches from the Annoucements section on the forum, had some rough & tumble with a few of the larger patches. But this patch is REAL NICE, installed 1st time NP, i have a completly seperate drive just for games and i was sure the installer would run into some problems, but no, it fished out the right files 1st time, when i started LIVE it worked 1st , When i ran the game it worked 1st time (Y) . The art work is nice and the patch is well worth a download. IMO this is the best 'Mod' so far for 04.

Somebody needs to get hold of somebody at EA and sort out extra/custom teams and dynasty issue. Seems like the problem lies in the inbetween season stuff that goes on, if we can play a SEASON there must also be a way we can get DYNASTY up and running!!

The Patch is just SICK, it's the best ever its like a new game

ok some problems that i found were Tracy Mcgrady wears the orlando jersey insted the USA one like the rest of the team and the other problem is WHY is the USA like the best team in the patch THE BEST TEAM SHOULD BE YUGOSLAVIA PERIOD they have stayed unbeaten over like 8 years in these kinds of tournments...

That's because you installed Jen's T-Mac (Y) thats what happens because he added the Captain sign on his jersey. Anyway, to fix it, go to render\xplayer\trmcgra, and delete home.fsh, home_num.fsh, away.fsh, away_num.fsh

But that will also remove the C sign on his orlando jersey when he plays on the magic.

Anyone here have the same problem?

Kq is in charge of the NTeams roster and he did all the roster related work for the NTeams 2004 patch (Y). I did all the graphics for the NTeams Art patch and the installation files for the roster patch, the art patch, and the Euroleague face activation patch. If you look closely, you will see Kq and I sitting at the scorers' table in the NTeams arenas :).

I used Microsoft Excel to automatically generate portions of the batch files used to activate the Euroleague faces for the National Teams roster. It appears that the Excel lookup function did not properly diferentiate between "Zukauskas, Eurilijus" and "Zukauskas, Mindaugas" :P.

I responded to your question in the nbalive.org forums but I will post it here for the benefit of others as well...

Unfortunately, a select few users have reported receiving EAZip errors during the NTeams Art patch installation which means some of the necessary NTeams files were not properly installed. I am currently investigating potential solutions to make the installation work for all users.

All small percentage of users have experienced problems with some of the files not being properly added to the VIV files. I know you are experienced enough to know that these errors sometimes happen. The risk involved with installing this patch is mininal.

It wont let me download the EuroLeague patch. :x Keeps sending me to some other fuckignsite. WTF any1 some1 can email it to me please. OR fix it, cuz i really want to see this mod myself, looks awsome.

The Euroleague patch is completely seperate from the National Teams patch (although we did work together on some issues (Y)). You can get the National Teams patch here:

nteams.nbalive.org

Since a lot of the users of the National Teams patch are also Euroleague patch users I made an optional patch which activates the Euroleague faces in the NTeams roster (for those users who have the Euroleague 2004 patch installed). This optional installation is the only connection between the NTeams patch and the Euroleague patch.

There are some posts in the Euroleague forum which may help you with the Euroleague downloading issues.

UPDATE:

National Teams 2004 Art V1.1 released

This patch updates the installation of the National Teams 2004 Art patch to allow the user to choose to install the National Teams files directly into the game VIV files or by using NBA Live's customart feature. The option to use the customart feature for the NTeams Art installation should eliminate the problems that a few users experienced with the method used in V1.0 of importing the files into the VIV files.

If you experienced problems installing V1.0 of the National Teams Art patch then I recommend that you download and install V1.1 using the customart option. This patch does NOT include any new graphics or roster changes...if you successfully installed V1.0 then there is no need for you to install this update.
