I can't remember offhand as there's quite a few of us Aussies in the forum.

I have news:

The PC version is expected to be released November 11th, I know November 4th has also been tossed around as a possible release but it seems it won't be that early.

OK so I started worrying about if they would release this game at all for 2004 and I emailed EA. Read through the header and to the bolded portion for the response:

EA Store will be shipping "NBA Live 2004 for PC" tentatively during "Beginning of Nov 2003", but the date is subject to change.

I'm crossing my fingers hoping it was a delay for the good and I hope some minor issues we had with the console version is fixed. It just baffles me how EA Sports isn't releasing any info on there site. By looking at there site, you'd think all the versions were all out. It would've been nice to see them acknowledge the delay.

Hey Andrew I have a (hopeful) question you may be able to answer. The PAL version of live we get is a little different than the US version, for example, we dont get NCAA, so they take out the option of importing draft classes(at least on the console). Do you think there is any chance they will fix any of the bugs the US version has as they make these changes, or does the PAL version go gold at the same time as the US.
And I think it has been said before, but to the suffering Aussies out there, EA Australia e-mailed me their release schedule, and it had NBA live for all platforms released on November 3. I am not entirely sure if that means out of their warehouse or on the shelves, but I unfortunately think it is the former.

I don't think we'll get the PC version before America, though I wouldn't be surprised if the PS2, Xbox and GameCube versions will be available November 3rd.

The PAL version won't be better than the NTSC version. If there's a terrible bug in the NTSC version, it will be in the PAL version.

The PC version should be available in North America November 11th.

I expect the console versions will be available in Australasia sometime in the first week of November, and the PC version will probably be available a couple of weeks after the North American release.

Well I am not sure if this is a true indicator or not but Gamestop.com says November 4th Pre-release for only $34.99USD which isn't bad.

November 11??? Bodgy!!

I remember going to GamesMarket.com.au on August and seeing that Live 2004 was to be released early October. I thought I was in heaven.

But after a couple of months later, me and along with most of the people on this board have patiently waited for this game, only to know that the release date gets pushed back further... and further.... and further.

As some other members have said already, if EA removes some of the glitches and bugs out the PC game from the console version, then I'll have no more sour grapes for EA.

November 11 is both good and bad. Good? TAFE year finishes 2 weeks later for me, so all playing and patching can be done then. Bad? I'd have waited that bloody long, the NBA season starts and WORK!!! Arrghh!!

*Sigh* Ok enough venting. I'll try to remain patient.

I wouldnt have a problem with november 11th if EA would freakin just say it. How difficult can it be to get out a press release with the exact release date, even if it is delayed from the original one. Noone would be pissed ...

i'll tell ya why man, because EA don't know if its gonna be Nov 11th... they are scared that if they come out and say Nov 11th, and dont make that date either, that we'll burn down their workplaces!!

So it is better to say nothing at all and let the website give the impression all versions are available? ... Nice Job EA ... thats a good customer care system you have there :roll:

I don't know why XBox and PS2 releases should be different, but those are the dates I see.

talked to my mate who works at gameswizards and he said Nov 10 for PS2 and probably all versions.

dstore.com.au has changed the pc version to the 11th just over the past few days, consoles havent changed from nov 3.

Expected Philippines released date is around second week of November. Most of the games shops I've been to say Nov. 14 is the earliest possible but even then most of the ones who will have it would probably be the big games shops in the Manila area.

I had to go buy the xbox version today...cause i couldnt wait for the pc version anymore. This game is good enough to the point where i wouldn't recommend anyone waiting for the pc version if u can afford to buy/rent the console one.

I dunno what ill do with my copy after the pc version gets out in about 3 weeks though :oops:
