Can anyone tell me why it takes heaps longer to come to Oz?

Hi guys.... please excuse any errors in proper forum behaviour, as this is my first post in ages. I am a regular reader of the site for release and game info, but felt compelled to write a post. I noticed a high amount of Aussie members, and just was curious as to why we get a completed game so much later than the US. Is it due to the conversion to PAL? Surely it's not the distance between the countries, as there must be at least one US to Australia flight per day. Any ideas?
Cannot wait for the game!

I'm not sure of the exact reason, but we always seem to have to wait for video games, video game consoles and DVDs to be released over here.

Damn Andrew... you are FAST! I literally pressed Post, and within 2 minutes you'd replied! I like your style. Tell me, being from Newcastle, have you embraced the Hunter Pirates? Seem a sure bet for wooden spoon, but with Bruce at the helm and a couple of good role players (Mann, Kingma, etc) and 2 pretty good imports, they may do some damage.

I'm not really an NBL fan, but I guess now the Pirates are in the league, I'll take an interest once in a while.

Wazzup my fellow aussies. Yea it sucks how we have to wait, its frustrating to see all the posts when the games comes out, but its out of our control for now.
I reckon it takes awhile to get our way coz they simply have to churn out so many thousands of copies of the game and I think naturally they distribute to north america first...and gradually the world. AS years go on we should get the games quicker (i hope).

BTW, my boy at gamesmarket.com.au tells me they will be sending me the PC game on November 3rd. They have always been spot on in previous years. In the meantime tomorrow im going shopping to get a new PC! ( i hope)

Cheers.
