3. About the light on or off....that's a good advice, I didn't know that kind of cheating, maybe you did that when patching... :roll:

....However, I can't hardly see details in white-skin players, that's why I turn down the lights...but in african-american players I really use the lightning on. That's not cheating...I always want to make a good patch for my friends....I don't wanna "sell" anything...this is free!!!
So if you wanna tell me I'm a cheater, you're messing with the wrong guy this time...

4. About calling me lazy or idiot....I think you're confussed man...why do you attack me???. Did I make you something bad???. Why are you acting like a child???. I just have the time to make patches and my own website. Until that is done, I'll be posting and replying again and again...until you motherfucker stop making fun of me...you little creep!!!

The lighting is not on for Derrick Dial who I do believe is, in fact, black. Also, never in my 6 months of patching have I turned off lighting :roll:

maybe you misunderstood, but lighting is the game's lighting engine which adds shadows and highlights to a player model. Most people play the game with lighting on, so if you preview your patches with lighting off, the cyberfaces will most likely become too bright with lighting on, and results in a loss of detail and.. blind everyone on the court with an overbright face.

the advice kevC gave you was pretty legit... no need for all the dissing eh?

in case you play with the game with bad framerates like i do, here's an advice when you make previews, turn up your detail setttings -- texture detail, player detail, lighting to high, resolution as high as possible.... in practice mode, that way you don't have to worry about the lag...

kevC' telling you to find a host instead of emailing patches.... it's a good advice, but if you like people spamming up the boards with email addresses and emailing to every single person who want you patch, then oh well...

Besides, it's less work for you to just put up a link for it. I don't want to spend my time sending 20 emails to people who want my patch, and I also don't want to wait a week before I actually get the patch I asked for. In fact, all you have to do is use geocities, and that's probably one of the most popular free web hosts. (Also one of the gayest).

First of all guys, KevC was rude from the beginning. I like opinions and advice, but he was rude calling me an idiot and stuff. I always play with lightning on, but the previews...that's another story. I don't like to cheat and always try to give my best to people in this forum. I never have complains about my work, if you find people complaining let me know!!!

Thank you for the advice...I'll release soon my own website and won't have to listen to kevcs or other disturbed kids!!!

If you read carefully at my post I never did call you an idiot, I merely hypothesized 3 reasons why you might insist on the "e-mail system". I made it clear that I think the reason is the 3rd one. :roll:

kevc calm down. hes obiously to lasy to find a host i can tell that hes lasy because the lazines reflects on his patches no offence.
here are some tips:

1.make things that go w/ the patch like practice gear, bskn, headbands, shoes, headshape, correct skintone.
2.spend more than 5mins on the face.
3.make a batch installation.
3.have good previews w/ lighting on (not a big deal)
4.Release patch after a little fix and criticizm.
5.dont have flame wars with people over minor errors.

I embraced your advice about "lightning on". OK. I'll use that on my next patches....I give you that.....

However, you were the first to "hypothetically" call me lazy and idiot. If I call you "hypothetically" an asshole....I'm insulting you....there's no difference between " " and !!!!. You see????. I hope you understand that or you'll have many problems in your life, kid.

Also, I reacted and used the word "bastards" after you put "findafuckinghost". Who was rude at first???. YOU!!!.

Now...I work and have a life....and my hobby is to make cyberfaces of all those forgotten players in NBALive 2004. Sorry, but I don't have time to create an installation file or search for hosting. However, people don't seem to bother about installing it theirselves. The only ones complaining are you and your friends, and I never sent you anything.... How can you evaluate my work, if you don't use it?????. :shock:

I do have time to take long hours to make cyberfaces for all those fans of the NBA. When they have things to say, I listen and fix the problems. Everybody knows that.

You don't like me, I don't like you. That's it. But do not think I'm leaving this forum because of this. MY WORK WILL BE HERE ALWAYS!!!!

we're trying to give you advice on your patches based on your preview, based on all the posts with "blahblahblah@host.com"... needless spam if you'd just find a host and upload your files... it'd even take you less time than making a decent cyberface
