i can't believe ppl even THINK about 2003 ..
most nba live players are into real stats, gameplay and franchise(dynasty)
and those are all much more realistic than 2003
the only reason someone might want to play 2003 is maybe they like scoring at will? I mean.. i missed the jumpshots i had in 2001.. it took like 3 years to get it back in 2004.. but i guess for people who prefer dunkin and insanely breaking ankles every play to beat opponents by 40 points .. 2003 might be better.... faces are better in 2003 tho..

the sliders are the greatest thing.. for next year i hope for a better interface.. better graphices ( faces/ body ).. and improved dynasty mode.. and if you played sega's nba 2k3 ... they have MUCH better commentating.. as in more variety.. nba live is getting there..
also i'll like to see a cooler practice mode.. just copy sega 2k3's for godsakes.. for ppl who haven't played it.. on their practice mode.. they have all their starts on their team soo you can do passing and alley hoops..

also i'll like having less adjusted shots or more realistic ones.. somethings wrong with them.. seriously

i give it a 8/10 simply because i can play Defense now.. when i started playin 2003 with freestyle it would be an easy bucket but know when i play on superstar theres always a big man in your way and you have to dish it out... i love the contact during a shot were you have to adjust your shot from a dunk to a layup or switching hands mid-air gotta love that stuff.. i hate the bugs for dynasty mode the least they could have done is made there salaries too minimum like last year so they could be on a team not just seating in FA's rotting away.
overall this game kills 2003.

My rating is 9.75 out of 10: "A must have".

Purely cosmetic things like animations, arenas or cyberfaces aren't important for me. I noticed a great gameplay improvement compared to previous Live games, boosted with the correct use of sliders which will fix many of the problems related here, like blocks, steals or game speed. AI is heavily improved (well, not perfect, but who are :) ). And game is challenging enough for everyone. What else can you ask for? It's the best basketball game ever, no doubt of it.

The only things I consider as major issues to be fixed are:
- Too few offensive rebounds - sliders don't help.
- Some dynasty mode problems like players lowering dramatically his averages with no reason for it, or the well-known FA sign bug (although I didn't suffered it so far).
