draft real players and remove DUNK SMASH sound

Postby yendor28 on Thu Oct 09, 2003 3:07 pm

Hi,

Just wondering, Q for the patch gurus. COnsidering you can import rosters from NCAA to draft, does this at least create the possibility of creating your own draftable rookies?

I know it is hard to tell without the game, just wondering your thoughts?

Also, can you replace the CRASH dunking sound with perhaps another?

thanks

You can import players from March Madness 2004. Of course this is a useless feature for PC gamers and those of us who don't live in North America (March Madness isn't available in PAL format).

We haven't been able to edit sound effects in previous Lives. I doubt we'll be able to so in Live 2004, but you never know.

For those of us who are going to play on PS2...yes we can have real players in the Draft if we want to take the time to input them in March Madness. The PC guys won't have that option unless they do some fancy database editing...

Isn't that ironic...

I'm going to buy or rent March Madness just to try this out. The really cool thing, though, is that if you have both games...you're going to get more or less realistic draft classes for the next few years just because the college players are all in Madness already. Guys like Hakim Warrick (though their names probably won't be listed and might be randomly generated when they're imported), Luol Deng and Raymond Felton will be able to come out in the Draft in 2004 or 2005 without doing any changes. I personally am going to make Sebastian Telfair (on Georgia Tech) and Pavel Podkolzine somewhere. Maybe they'll have South American, European and Asian 21-and-Under teams so we can get international players in the draft also.

Wow...the more I talk about it the more excited I get...

Well you probably should go ahead and make Telfair for louisville. Thats the school hes gonna go to if he goes to college.

I'm just wondering if theres a site that will give you the names to every player on every college team for march madness or will i have to go to every schools roster myself to find that out? hmmm...

Just buy a college preview magazine. They generally have rosters in them. Anyone know when March Madness is coming out?

The importing draft classes option will really be cool for those of us with the console versions. I know that I 've seen memory cards being sold online that have complete rosters for all the 1-A teams on the NCAA football, which you can in turn use for madden. So if I get March Madness (which I probably won't  ) I'd look online especially on Ebay for a memory card offer like the football. Just some friendly advice.

Is it possible to change the dunk sound to something else?
