Slider suggestions for realism

Mon Oct 20, 2025 8:53 am

I enjoyed 2k26 on launch but I did take a break for two weeks playing other games. I came back yesterday but the game felt frustrating. Shooting felt unrealisticly hard and movement felt less smooth than launch.

Any slider Suggestions to make the gameplay feel realistic but still fun to play? Green or Miss is kindof killing me right now with the current game. I was playing on HOF but I'm willing to switch. Also I mainly play MyEras.

Echoing a recommendation that Dee made on our podcast, I'd go with lowering the difficulty first, and seeing if you can still get a good challenge when you take it down a notch. If it's slightly too easy, then maybe tweaking the shooting sliders so it's a bit tougher (I'd recommend no more than 5-10 at a time) will strike the right balance. Failing that, if you'd rather tweak Hall of Fame first, again I'd recommend raising those shooting sliders by 5-10 at a time until things start to feel too easy, then back up a bit.

Another suggestion that Dee made was to turn Body Sensitivity down to zero. It won't avoid all the issues with collisions and physicality, but he's found that it helps (or did around launch, at any rate).

I'll admit that I haven't been able to get into NBA 2K26 thus far and am not playing it, so unfortunately I can't be more specific than that at this time. Hopefully someone else has some specific sliders to share; I'm not sure if there are any popular ones in the community uploads, but that might be worth a look as well. In the meantime though, tweaking sliders by 5-10 at a time is probably the safest way to tinker. I also think there should be no stigma to lowering the difficulty when need be, because games are meant to be enjoyed and sometimes Hall of Fame is unfairly difficult, especially once they start adjusting things in patches post-release.

Il probably try superstar and see how that feels and take your suggestion on slowly adjusting shooting sliders. I do remember the pod segment on lowering the body up sensitivity so I will try that. I think community slider sets can be hit or miss because we all play differently and have different abilities to time shots. I do kindof miss the shot timing profile feature from last year because it made these adjustments easier.
