Running game in the background

Why when I press Alt+Tab while playing NBA 2k26, the game keeps running in the background instead of pausing? In 2k25 it minimized. Is it possible to change that?

I suspect you are running the game in Windowed mode, just that it fills the screen. Go to your video settings and change it to fullscreen.

I have full screen windowed. There is only two options - windowed and full screen windowed.
