Shoe Mod Issues

yes, we knew that, this thread is all about that. Plus my generic shoe mod and others. What did you think the texture files were?
Only issue with that is that you have to replace an existing shoe, whereas last year I could add almost infinite numbers (I did over 400) via the shoe_global.

yeah you have to replace existing shoe, but thats all i need coz I cant used/load edited rosters when playing on mycareer or myteam.. and you can customize the shoes per team if you want to. Im not really good in PS thats why my mods were limited.lol here try one!

Easy way is to build a psd using the shoe_ed file sections. Add the layers in the same order as the shoe creator and then you can just colour each layer as you like. You can then reuse the psd to make as many as you like

How about some specifics, file names, what you have changed etc. All you should need to do is rename the style to the one you are replacing and then create the dds files in the ng iff. However some shoes will use info from the shoe global and won't yet use the edited ed files.

Oh Sorry I should have posted here. I got it to work. But maybe I did it a different way than I should since I think the texture (not the color the actual like fabric on the shoe) kinda looks off. I was using the kobe 8 (1043) and replacing the air max 90s (1184). I replaced the Style file, ng and obviously the FE. The FE I had no problem with but the NG when I would change it did not seem to do anything besides make either take the texture from the Air Max and put it on the Kobe 8 or make the player disappear entirely. The style file worked as well, just not the NG. What I ended up doing (which again I don't know if this is the right way to do it but I couldn't see any other way) was replacing the associated roster texture file as well (shoe_1184_18047092_textures.iff) and I just plopped in the associated texture file. Again, that seemed to work but I think I need to mess with the normals or something because there is something off I can't place my finger on it. Ill send a picture as well.

did you do anything with the style file? The one he posted was the air max 90 style, you need to extract and rename the shoe you want to the name of the one you want to replace.

For converting shoes it's really just about the size of the file and the format (BC1, BC7, etc.). I don't think the way I did it is the typical way but I replaced the Roster_Texture file as well. This seemed to be the only way it worked for me. Now I have tried converting other shoes but it hasn't been as easy as it was with this one. But if you want a step by step of what i did for these I might be able to make a vid if you want. But again, I have tried my method with other shoes and it isn't working as well. BikerJimuk might be able to help figure out a more steady method but as far as I know I'm one of the few people that changes the roster texture file instead of just doing the eg, fe, style files, etc. Again let me know and I can make a vid for you.
