Mods folder can't overwrite Sync folder (!)

If you use my shoes mod, you can do a play now with the 08 celtics and scrolling through the unis, Garnett will wear my modded and coloured shoes with the 2 modern unis, but it will switch to an old style edit with the older unis.
However it colours like it used to when I did that same mod a few years back. I then had to edit the ed file to merge sections but that isn't working so far.

You can see my edited shoes on the current unis. The game is adding colours to the retro uni, yet my shoe_ed_0 file does not have a separate undelay like appears in game (The small white patch under the shoe collar), which is the same section location as the 2K midsole in the shoe editor I think?



This was what used to happen when I first tried the copying\renaming the 5000 shoe files to 0 in older games.

Nice, bro! Is there anyway to use a shoe, like the GT Cut 2 instead of the Jordan 1?

Thank you for all the info man, I've tried to replicate your experience but when I add your modded shoe_ed file all I get is a blank shoe, not a colored jordan as in your pictures, don't know if I missed some step in the process.

Tomorrow I'll try to find which is the correct setup to export dds files for those shoes stored in roster_textures/shoes/shoe_xxxx_xxxxxxxx_textures.iff because it will be the first step to get to edit painted shoes. It would be awesome too if could get to asign any of those colored shoes to any other shoe model, because we could use colorways from retro or not used shoes and asign them to current models...

Again, I have already done that. My mod includes 58 files of edited dds shoes. They are bc1 no alpha.

Of course. Extract t the cut 2 files in shoes, then rename the Id to 0 and then make 116 dds files to replace the 58 uid files in roster textures, don't forget to copy over the region files from a cut shoe file as well.

[Edit] You could be lucky, there are only 26 - UID files for the Cut 2

weird how some use the UID pre-coloured files and other's don't.
The Mavs and Nets use the UID files for the LBJ 20s for eg but not the Generics and the shoe_ed doesn't seem to be used from mods either?
