Feels like the game is DEAD !

This is an emotional release post that I'm sure many feel the same way about, I've been playing NBA 2K since 2013 and with the mod community since 2014 and only offline (I love the career story and less the park)
I've seen how slowly since 2020 I no longer enjoy playing it, this year after 5 years we got the next generation and unfortunately not the LOOYH ROSTER EDITOR which for me was 90% of the fun I had in the game editing the ROSTERS especially in MY CAREER to keep the lineups updated after trades during the season and the GRINDE process which I don't even mention how difficult it became.
There was a spark of light that helped with VITAMIN25's BETTER MENU and now after patch 8 that canceled it I really don't find any point in this game with the next generation and everything they "added" to it.
I'm sure there are many more here who feel the same way I do. and it just hurts. Huge respect to the modding community here. You guys are doing a fantastic job !
The next time I buy 2K it will only be after I see that there is a ROSTER EDITOR that works like LOOYH's.

Wow, you feel the game is dead because the menus are the default ones and 90% of the fun as editing rosters? I didn't think editing MyCareer rosters worked as they were loaded online, but if that killed the game for you then I guess it is dead to you.

Not only that, the shooting became really challenging, the gameplay doesn't feel like fun anymore. I really enjoyed it in the 15' to 20', but since then it feels like the whole gameplay is about doing challenges and winning stupid prizes. With modding tools we could do a lot, not just in terms of editing the roster, it was much more than that. We would change team uniforms, change the stadium, change sliders to ones that are more fun to play with, and basically just make the gameplay much more enjoyable.

We can still change uniforms, edit stadiums and sliders though

I agree with what rafikdar. This game bad for people who don't want to play park with other players and just want to enjoy Mycareer in single player. If you go offline, you can customize with the cheat engine, but you don't get Mycareer experience or VC. You can change uniforms, courts, etc., but it is very boring that you can no longer change the face of MYPLAYER to that of a real player (e.g. Jordan, LeBron, Kobe, etc.) like in previous games in the series. I was able to do this until 2k23or 2k24, although not completely. It was great to be able to customize your season with Awesome Looyh's tools while enjoying the story of MYCAREER instead of trying to get an advantage by setting your OVR to 99 in the park online, but if you can't do that anymore, this game is not for those who played MYCAREER with the mods. But if that is no longer possible, the people who played MYCAREER with the mods will not want to buy this game.

exactly if it wasnt new gen i wouldnt get it, i LOVED my carreer sins 2k16 and i know it had its ups and downs but now with all the really bad missions to do nothing is good anymore.
you remember like back in the days when you would get real good at my carreer players would hang out with you and you would sign stuff to fans, now its just boring as hell and every month you going to do the same stuff over and over again, i get the vc part that they have to sell but since 2k has no competition its just SUCKS.

The constant promotion and incorporation of VC killed the game for me. Nothing but a money grab...
