same thing was happening to me, i had to delete the global.iff file from the mods folder and it worked again.

Yeah it was the global causing the issue for me also... sucks also since i paid for it

Have you figured out what the problem was? Even after taking out the entire mods folder the game is still crashing.

Ok strange.. in my case it worked after moving the mods folder out, closing steam and then restarting steam again and starting the game. After that i put my mods back except the global.iff without problems. So i dont know what your issue is.

I ended up just reinstalling the game and copying the mods folder in the fresh install and it worked. I don't even remember what mod had the global.iff file but everything else works.

Nice. Global.iff is in the main mod folder. Hopefully somebody finds a solution for using it again.
