No 2K Tools Anymore ?

Sun Nov 24, 2024 4:24 am

I know this year everything is changed on PC. Every file structure seems changed. But additionally Denuvo is still there. And now they are adding East Anti-Cheat. So I don't have any hope for new version. It seems we came to the end. Could we change have new ways for roster editing ? For example deleted players on PC ? I want to add old players like Blake Griffin and others for my project.

I honestly believe that despite this being the first year of new gen on PC, we’re managing to edit almost every aspect of the game. Regarding ways to edit the roster, you have the CE tables: viewtopic.php?f=291&t=116206, which are quite useful, especially for editing all aspects of a player. That said, since the first week the game went on sale, I uploaded a roster called "+100 Hidden Face Scans," where I’ve added practically all the players removed by 2K who still have face scans in the game files. Additionally, I’m personally converting countless face scans from 2K18 to 2K24 of players that are very useful for rosters based on the LeBron and Stephen Eras. So, I think we’re far from reaching the end; instead, we’re at the beginning of something quite big. On my Twitter, you can find more information about everything I’ve done so far: https://x.com/shuajota/status/1834718086450364660

According to Looyh, because of 2K's own anti cheat, not the EAC anti cheat, he most likely will not be releasing a hook and 2K Tools this year. Sorry guys.

well Looyah said its not that he doesnt have any intention to release it he has to get pass some anti cheat measures. I think with the easy anti cheat mode its for online mode right not offline modes

Correct. He said was actively working on it, but 2K's own anti-cheat measure is what is causing the issue. Not the new EAC they added. 2K25 had a version of anti-cheat from day one that 2K created themselves. He said he most likely will not be able to release any tools this year because of the 2K anti-cheat. Not the EAC anti-cheat.

I am thinking same thing will happen every year from now on. Maybe if he would work with old tools it might be better. For example 2K Tools 2K24 got too many updates after that time but 2K Tools 2K20 didn't get same improvements. Even I have all 2K versions on Steam and PS5 but not playing newer versions too much. Because old versions are something like preservation of old eras for me. NBA 2K20 is my favorite one. After that time yeah game got some improvements but also got too many visuals glitches.
