Yeah it's available on PS4 and X1. They didn't do any promotion of it during the preview season and like last year, it isn't getting much of a mention as far as post-release support.

Looks like PC has received a hotfix for performance/crashing issues. No official announcement or notes at this time, though.

Notably, it installed quicker than small updates for other recent 2Ks on PC, so the patch/hotfix delivery system may be better optimised this year.

Am I crazy or has the "Dynamic V-Sync" option been removed from the game? I used it to cap non game play cut-scenes to 30 fps and now my frames are all over the place.

I'm considering getting 2k25 strictly for PC vs PC gameplay.

Please give me an honest breakdown of the AI and/or direct me to a credible source.

Thanks!

What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play

2K seemed to give up on patch notes for prior gen last year. Nothing in the official Discord about it, not even a brief mention.

I wonder if it's the same type of patch as the 1.03 patch for the ps5, I don't play online so I won't know if they have patched anything there but the couple of times I played yesterday upon starting up the game it didn't crash back to the home screen on the attempt like before which is good.

All I know is 2k puts out a 62gb patch update but yet they address zero player likenesses nor fix the courts for teams that are wrong smh..

Probably just a few stability/bug fixes, though it'd still be good to get some notes. The size comes down to the game's file structure; basically, you're downloading a big chunk of it again for every patch. They've seemingly improved in that regard with PS5, XSX, and this year PC. The minor patches aren't big downloads, and so far they've installed quickly. Doesn't sound like they've been able to make it more efficient on PS4, unfortunately.

Yeah I see what you mean mate, iam hoping to make this my last year on the ps4 hopefully and I totally get what you and Dee where saying on the podcast as most times I've commented on (mainly just) YouTube 2k25 videos about anything regarding the ps4 version it's 70% being met with negative comments towards people still playing on the ps4 which I get, the ps4 is what? 10 years old? So I feel the only safe space is here, place I've called home for 21 years haha

Avoiding that toxicity and elitism will always be our goal! (Y)

Funnily enough, the prior gen ports that the PC was getting before this year would get smaller updates through Steam, but compared to other games, it took ages for them to be applied; even when installed on an SSD. So that's been a welcome improvement.

I think you have done a great job keeping this site toxic free over the years Andrew and Lord knows there has been some people trying there luck before lol

File size is not something I've really paid much attention to over the years as I've only really ever played 2k/Live and from time to time some Call of duty but I picked this ps4 up, its a 500gb slim edition and like I mentioned in another post it was only £30 on ebay so I thought it was a bargain really but I can't see me being able to having any other games on the hard drive as 2k have taken up about 160 I think and it says 150 of it is taken up with ps4 hardware or software or whatever it is means there isn't much more space for anything else really.

Definitely the way it goes with the last couple of generation of consoles and installing games to their internal drive. It's also why you need to maintain some free space for patch downloads, but as you said, if you're not installing that many games, it's probably not going to be an issue. And of course, not completely filling your drive is advisable on PC, too.

The main problem with the size of the patches is connection speed and data caps. Fortunately that's no longer as much of an issue for me - even with Australia's internet - but when I was still on ADSL2 with a 200 GB monthly limit, I dreaded seeing multiple 25+ GB patches being pushed through in short order!

That's one thing I am greatful of here in the UK is we have had some pretty reasonable Internet packages with unlimited downloads plus phone networks that let us hotspot is a blessing when iam out with my daughter and she has her tablet with her!

I think by next 2k game release iam hoping to be on the ps5 by then and hopefully with the ps5 max coming out with a bit of luck the normal ps5 will have a good drop in price by then.
