So, here's an issue to be aware of. It seems quite a few people are being hit by half-hour or one hour bans for quitting games in MyCAREER and its connected modes.
Now, while it is a harsh penalty for the online modes (Playground, The Rec, 2K Pro-Am, etc), it makes sense. 2K have stepped up their penalties for poor sportsmanship in recent years, even noting when gamers dashboard rather than quit through the in-game menu. Unfortunately, these bans also seem to happen if you grade out of online games (which may be your fault), or if you have a connection issue (which probably isn't your fault). So that's a hassle to say the least.
The big problem, however, is that it's also being applied to single player games. So, if you quit an NBA game in MyCAREER, or it crashes or there's a connection error (thanks Always Online requirement!), you get hit with a ban as if you quit an online mode like a bad sport. As per this thread on the official NBA 2K subreddit, people have even been hit with a ban when they exit a shootaround in the Gatorade Gym in The City, which is utterly ridiculous.
Hopefully this can be patched, because it's a huge oversight that's going to have people walking on eggshells in MyCAREER, or flat out giving up on the mode. However, if you do get banned when you seemingly didn't do anything wrong, it's likely due to this overzealous measure. The bans do get lifted, but it's obviously an inconvenience, so again, hopefully it's fixed ASAP.
