Having trouble with 2K Tools (2K23)

I am using 2K tools to help me edit rosters in the game and it works pretty well. However, there are two problems that I am having and do not know how to fix. My first problem is that when I change the team jerseys, they change back to what they originally were when I leave and go back into the custom roster. My second problem is that my game keeps crashing after a few minutes when I have 2K tools open. Any suggestions or other mods that could help with these issues?
