no troubles about the pm.... just answering it here in case other people have ideas and stuff.
don't know much about the animations... will tell you what i know... maybe looyh can write a script that delays the scoreboard showing or something... not sure what he can do
using 2k23 default scoreboard
the animations play one after another.... not sure if on the same animation track or multiple tracks... anyways, if you set
scorehome to 0.0 --> 17.0 then you can watch all the animations

for instance: set
"scorehome" to the
scoreaway timestamps --- change
"scorehome" to 2.91666675 -> 4.1666698 ... and when the home team makes a 2 point basket, the away score animation will play.
So, get rid of
Intro ... change numbers to something big ... like 100 -> 101
that will make the
scorebug_intro.SCN play... but the scoreboard will not fade into view .... clean screen
so, progress.... clean screen.... can get rid of
scorebug_intro.SCN animation by by opening
scorebug_intro.scn and chaning animation to something big ... 100 ->101
anyways, game starts.... no intro animation (big number) ... clean screen ....
Then ... if you set
scorehome to
Fadeout 16.666679 -> 17.0 .... the scoreboard is in view for 1.5 seconds or so (animation length) ... scoreboard disappears ... but pops back into view and stays on screen... game seems to make sure that the scoreboard is on the screen
So, not great.... scoreboard disappears ... then pops back onto screen
Anyways, if you clear the
intro animation .... then you will have a clean screen at start of game... or after replay (screenwipe) ... or timeout... so some portions are clean screen
You can maybe ask looyh with his tools and decompilers and stuff.... if he can find the memory value after replay swipe or after the fade out animation.... why the scoreboard gets put back on screen... maybe there's a memory value he can script around... i have no idea ...
but the sequence is this:
set intro to 100 ->101
set homescore to fade out times ( 16.66679 -> 17.0) ...
restart game....
home team 2 point basket ...
then scoreboard appear...
then scoreboard fadeout...
then game forces it to appear on screen (like a safety check)
but no idea what looyh can do ... anyways, that all i know about the animations
edit --went away and came back to the post--:
in the 2k23 default scoreboard.... there is a pause in the animations from 8.8 or so to 12.0 or so.... just looking at animations while answering your question

if i had just watched the animation sequence more carefully and set the score home/away/3pt to those valuse 8.8 ->11.99 ..... easy static tricode and fast animation switch
didn't have to do any other scene edits and copy files and all that other stuffs.... hahahaah, that's funnny. oh well. lol... woulda turned an hour or two of scene fiddling with 2k23/2k18/2k20 .... into 8 seconds

but yeah, homescore ->fadeout doesn't work .... but you can have clean screen for a little bit by removing the intro animation
