How do I retrieve my NBA2K23.exe file?

Strange things going on. I loaded my game and it updated with a patch I guess. So after it updated, I started the game and loaded NBA2K tools. Then I get a virus threat error msg that 2Ktools can't locate my NBA2K23 tools.exe file. So I go into my 2k folder where the executable NBA2k23.exe should be, and it's gone. Nowhere to be found. I ran the verify game files and it said there is one file it couldn't locate, NBA2K23.exe I presume. I can't play the game, and 2Ktools doesn't work because the game can't find the file. I'm on Steam BTW. Can someone help a brother out?

Delete an reinstall your game.
Are you using steam?

Verifying the game files should also replace a missing .exe without having to reinstall the entire game, but either way, that'll get it back.

I agree, it should work, but he said that verifying the game didn't replace, which is strange.

I did verify the game files a second time, and it worked. Don't know why it didn't work the first time, but that's what computers do sometimes. Thanks for the replies.
