A brand-new soundtrack with 66 songs ranging from 2K6 to 18.

How to install: Copy and paste the folder as-is to your main 2K folder, and then activate it via Looyh’s NBA 2K_Hook which is obviously required.

Quick Q&A:

Q: Is the soundtrack compatible with 2K24?
A: At the time of this writing no, because the vanilla mod folder does not support .wav files (i.e. the actual songs). That could change in the future, depending on Looyh working his magic and making such a feat possible.

Q: Is this compatitible with other soundtrack mods?
A: Nope. There is a way you could do this (by manually editing every filename and changing the music.json file to your preference), but it is a very arduous process.

Q: Why are many songs shorter? Where is P Diddy’s verse on Victory, etc.
A: Due to limitations on the original .wav files, any song over ~3:45 mins may get cut off abruptly by the game before it actually ends. That’s why every song on the soundtrack had to be edited, if necessary, in order to be under said limit.

UPDATE 29/10 - the final version of my "full" soundtrack is released!

Will probably do some smaller soundtracks on the near future, but if 2K increases the available soundtrack "spots" on S3, I could update this one with some songs that narrowly missed the cut.

So, as I understand it, you have put the .rar file as itself onto the folder. What you need to do - if you have installed the 2K Hook correctly, you can check that out by seeing whether there is a panel on the top left of your screen at startup - is to open the .rar file via an app (most popular is WinRar, you can easily find it on google) and then paste the files within it as-is on your main Mods folder.

As for the other questions: a) yes, it will overwrite any and all vanilla songs, the RT/LT "playlist" thing just differentiates the retro 2K songs from the rest on it b) you may download whichever soundtrack you like from the two posted, however be aware that it's one or the other, you can't have them both at the same time.

It's a relatively easy process, there is a tutorial @ the 2K20 section of the forum I believe which works 100% for all subsequent games as well
