Do you know by any chance if the transition wipe of a player's highlight can be adjusted/modded too like the 2Ksports transition wipe through the gooeyoverlaysstatic.iff?
I never really liked the replay transition that they kept in the game since 2K20 til 2K23 that much tbh and imo the wooden planks look from 2K19 was looking the best in the recent years, the replay transition showed the highlight's player portrait too exactly like they have it on next gen now again. I just tried exporting the gooeyoverlaysstatic.iff from 2K19 but 2K23 crashes if it's put in the mods folder, I'm guessing because of a lot not anymore compatible files in it. Do you know by any chance the exact corresponding files in the gooeyoverlaysstatic.iff which are responsible only for the 2Ksports transition wipe so I can try drag and dropping them in the default 2K23 gooeyoverlaysstatic and if possible also the exact files for the normal replay transition? That would be very helpful to try it out. Thanks for any help in advance!2k19 player wipe for 2k23 Modding Idea from Tobay93 I never thought of it, but after having the same animation from 2k20 - 2k23... the 2k19 wood panel is a quite nice change. thanks Tobay93 for the idea. I have no idea what i wrote to you Tobay93.... i tend to be very wordy... sorry to confuse you ... but vetmin explanation is much more accurate and succinct. Anyways, I took the 2k23 vcuielement from the 2k23 playerwipe2.iff and placed it into the 2k19 file.... it worked perfectly in 2k23. Sorry to confuse you. Thanks for your help explaining vetmin
it's a great mod idea. we've had the same player highlight panel for 2020 - 2023... it's a new look for player highlight. thanks for thinking about the mod and sharing the idea.
file attached to this post. Hopefully i attached the correct file... sometimes i get confused.
This honestly goes to show just how much stuff has the same exact variable names in 2K's backend
