Been having a weird issue where I'll make roster changes before starting the new season on a myplayer and the game will crash before I start the first game of the season. Unsure what could be causing this but wondering if anyone else has run into this issue?

I have the same issue. My game crashes if I'm inside MyCareer or MyLeague, removed all the downloaded modes. Maybe it's the problem of the tool itself?

I installed the hook file and checked "initialize every time" and don't ask again... from that moment nba 2k23 no longer starts.

I guess you have reshade installed? try removing dxgi.dll from the game root dir.
It seems that using both Reshade and Hook at the same time may cause crashes when the game starts on some laptops.

I've never experienced this, you can try removing the NBA2K_Hook.dll to see if it still crashes.
