Key info:
- As in previous years, The W is exclusive to the Next Gen version of NBA 2K23.
- The W Online now features community progression. Every Season will feature six weekly goals that the community can work together to achieve.
- Achieving the collective goal in at least four out of the six weeks of each Season will grant every NBA 2K23 player a reward.
- Rewards include WNBA jerseys, logos, and Coach MyTEAM cards. These rewards will be earned exclusively through The W Online.
- Multiple seasons' worth of WNBA jerseys will be available to outfit your player in The W.
- On top of the community goals, there will be smaller weekly personal goals. Contributing heavily to the community goals will earn Game Changer status, which unlocks rewards such as special Takeover boosts.
- Contact Challenges expand on the ability to connect with WNBA All-Stars, legends, and coaches, in order to improve your Badges. Challenges include marking key games on the calendar, statistical goals, and teaming up with other players for workouts.
- Your player in The W can now qualify for the WNBA All-Star Game. The midseason Commissioner's Cup has also been added, as in MyWNBA.
- Reaching Level 10 in League Popularity will unlock two expansion team slots, and the ability to control how the league expands.
